Hi,

 

We fly out to the Royalton on 17th May 2017, with our wedding on the 23rd (just awaiting confirmation of our preferred date). Sam, I have got a pricelist from the Royalton with all the extras including the Spa pricelist for make up etc. I can send it over to you if you haven't already got it.

 

I'm excited, seems like I've picked the right venue.

Hi guys! I'm considering this resort as well. Prices seems to be comparable if not a little more affordable compared to my other option - Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I'm looking at May 2017. So far I'm impressed with the wedding dept's responsiveness which is a huge turn on for me, its super frustrating emailing your WC multiple time with no response for weeks. I would really love to have a private dinner reception on the beach with two long farm tables and string lights above us but honestly after reviewing their Love package for $1k I'm feeling like I'd be okay with the semi private. I'm sure I'll spend lots of time with my guests throughout the week either way. I'm only expected about 20 guests.

 

I definitely want a beach ceremony. Seems like they are booking up on a few dates in May already actually - seems to be popular!

I'm thinking of using an outside photographer has anyone found a way around the vendor fee? Also does anyone have pictures of hair and makeup if so please feel free to email me DivineStarr84@@gmail.com.

 

I am considering using an outside vendor for photos as well. Not too impressed with the contracted one (even though their prices are fair). I found Kape Photography under the #royaltonrivieracancun on Insta and she did a wedding there in Feb. Love her work it's much more my style, going to try to find out if there's a way to get around the fee. $850 is just crazy!!

His 8 hr package is $3,500 which I really don't think is too bad but my Fiance thinks its too much. Have you received anything from Kape photography about pricing? by the way Im a Jersey girl too.

Heyyy NJ in the house! Yes she offers two packages $2600 for 6-8 hours/1 photographer or $2900 for full day/2 photographers. I think it's pretty fair pricing considering the price of wedding photography here on the east coast but I'm sure it will be a hard pill to swallow for the future hubs with the outside vendor fee hahaha.

 

Photography is one thing I don't mind splurging on - well have those pictures forever. I'll just have to figure out a way to convince mr. man LOL

We are in the same boat. I really want our pictures to be amazing. Meanwhile my fiancé is like people can just take pics with their phone lol. I agree that her pricing is extremely reasonable. Keeping my fingers crossed on the convincing. Just trying to find a way around this vendor fee $850 is a lot of money.

I am getting married at RRC in June 2017, 25- 30 guests. We plan to have our ceremony on the sky terrace, then hold a semi private dinner at the buffet restaurant, then have a reception with open bar at the beach bar. I have not got prices for reception and  was wondering if anyone can help?

Hi Laureen! 

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!! I'm getting married there on May 9th, 2017. 

 

I just looked quickly for you... If you decided to have your reception at the beach bar, a $300 fee applies if there's no food. And there's a $12 charge per person for the open bar, without food service.

 

You also do have to pay for any upgraded chairs if you chose to have any, as well as whether or not you wanted to upgrade to an actual dance floor (these are insanely expensive here, starting at $1000) I'm choosing to use the floor of the beach bar, and not have an actual "dance floor"... Any decor or linen upgrades would of course also be more. 

 

Let me know if I can help with any other questions :) I've gotten quite a bit of information from my planner that I've been working with. Booked my wedding through Luxe Destination Weddings! They've been great.

 

Where are you flying out of? 

 

I've been stalking instagram like crazy for pictures of setups at the beach bar. If anyone has any of these please pass them on!!

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
