New Resort - Royalton Riviera Cancun

Recommended Posts

Everyone must take an elevator to access the Sky roof. I'm not sure if its fully wheelchair accessible though. To be certain I would definitely contact the resort and ask.

I contacted them and they said it is! Thanks :) Can anyone share their experiences?!

Hi Ladies!

I'm all booked for April 11th 2016 and have secured my wedding ceremony location on the Sky Terrace. Can anyone please provide me with pictures or information about reception locations! We are expecting a minimum of 50-60 guests! I can't have it on the Sky Terrace bc they require a minimum of 4 hours to set up for the reception (and my ceremony is at 5PM). I also can't have it on the sand (my grandmother is wheelchair-bound). Please let me know! I've been speaking to my WC, but the pictures are so limited and I would love some honest reviews! Thanks in advance  :)

We just got married 6/27 and had 50 guests, it was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this resort as a wedding venue.

1. We got married on the sky deck at the hideaway and Reception at the sky deck at Royalton. Ceremony at 5pm, cocktail hour 5:30-6:30 and reception at 7-11pm.

2. DJ through resort is AMAZING!! nobody left the dance floor

3. the girls at the spa do hair/make up spot on..honestly, better than in the states!! Loved them!!!

4. The coordinator on the resort is so sweet and covers all your bases perfectly, do not worry!

Any other questions send them my way!!

@@jrobbins3 so happy to hear from someone! Where did you have your cocktail hour and reception? Did you have a private dinner? Do you also have any pictures? I think I might have a million more questions but don't want to bombard you haha my wedding date is 9 months away! Congratulations on yours!!

We had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the sky deck at the hideaway, and the private reception dinner on the Royalton Sky deck. We chose the Mexican experience which was a great package!

We used our semi private dinner as our rehearsal dinner as well.

Excellent food at both the reception and rehearsal.

we had 50 guests, both spots were perfect for that number!

Send me your email and I can shoot you some photos...happy to answer any other questions!

Congratulations Mrs! Sounds like you had the time of your life xx

FI and I are getting married here in October...It will be the Two of Us therefore couldn't justify the extra $1500 to have ceremony on the Hideaway Sky Terrace.

How accessible is it to normal folk? As in, can we go up there to take photos anyway? I love the views from up there!

Any advice would be great xx

Im happy to read such great review. I was planning to have about the same amount of people. Approx, if you don't mind how much did your whole experience cost to have a wedding there? I have a budget of $16, 000, hoping I can get the most out of it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
