I'm always early! So I think everyone here is totally on your side lol. My friend who's getting married in July 2016 started planning before me and our wedding is October 2015! Lol she already has her dress and everything. I haven't even gone dress shopping yet. Lol

Planning early is a wonderful idea! I started planning since last year for my 09/01/2015 wedding...but in May we made our decision of where and how. So I'm right on schedule now. We sent STD's out the first week in July. So out guest can plan early.

You are not the only one. I'm also getting married on 2016 and I am already looking at wedding venues, cake, decoration, and everything else. My wedding is going to be in the Caribbean so it gives the guest a good 2 years to plan, save money, get their passports, and purchase their tickets.

  • 3 weeks later...

I am a 2016 bride as well, I guess I could be a little neurotic also (not like I have a planner already or anything ::sarcasm::).

Since most of you are "planners" like me, when did everyone begin sending out their save the date's? A year? More?

My invites went out already and my RSVP/booking deadline is September 22nd of this year. We have 58 people booked and paid with our TA and are expecting about 20-30 more before our deadline.

We have a wedding website so the invites were directing people there to RSVP and to start planning. Once booked, those guests will get passports with all the pertinent info for our wedding about 3 months prior to our big day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
