@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 - aww that's sweet! thank you! at this point I have to stay as confident as the doctor and keep believing that everything will go well!

@@kmk2016 - I don't think you need to worry in the least about the "over 40..." lol  I'm in the same boat but waaaaaay over 40! I'm in the over 50! lol  And it was second time around for us too. I have to say, there is something so much more special this time compared to the first. We're so much older, know what we want and just seem to have different expectations. I have a hard time believing that at my age I have truly found the love of my life!  We haven't had an anniversary celebration yet though. Our first anniversary was spent in the hospital and we almost didn't have a second, but our second I was in a new job and couldn't get time off, then this year for our third I'll be coming out of the hospital again. Besides the fact that I'm still here, that's the other reason I want our anniversary to be super special and do the vow renewal. Something to make it really memorable! lol I know your wedding will be absolutely wonderful!! And the "over 40".... don't even think about it!! I keep getting told you're only as old as you feel, and marrying that someone special makes you feel a lot younger! Believe me - I know!! lol

Congrats!! We've been responding to each other's posts all over the forum (think we're both trying to get to 150? haha) but I wanted to say it here too!  I love that you are planning early - your wedding is going to be perfect as a result and you have chosen my fave resort. I'm impatient and trying to get it locked in this year haha, but it'd probably be better if we did push it back. And over 40 isn't old at all - you and your partner will have a lifetime together, so why not start it exactly the way you want :)

Trying to get to 150? Who us? Hahaha.... It's funny cause I had a mini panic this am that I should switch to YOUR resort to make it cheaper- but I think I'm just feeling the pressure. (But I still may send a quick note to my Travel agent and ask her what she thinks)... I love the decor for the wedding set-up at your resort... But that's not reason enough is it? Was it THAT much cheaper?

Convince me that I should keep it at Sensatori... Or maybe convince me I should switch! Lol

I don't think it's actually that much cheaper for guests, but I think the weddings are cheaper because Palace has more perks. My TA said that Karisma hotels have the best customization though so you can get the specific look you want. I LOVE the Azul Sensatori - I basically chose the Beach Palace because the Sky Terrace reminds me of the Azul's terrace haha. I saw this photoshoot and fell in love w/ it - amazing!

But golf/included green fees is a big thing for us, so my fiance made me stop looking at the Azul. We actually still haven't booked BP yet and are considering some other resorts now too :(. The balancing of what we want vs. what we thinks our guests will pay is very hard! But I'm still trying to make BP work

I sent an email to my TA and she said BP wasn't what we were looking for but said she would pull some info for Moon Palace,., less busy and party atmosphere than Beach (which is in the heart of the action), and may be something we want to consider.... But still very different than Sensatori.

The golf inclusive thing is a big deal... I wasn't aware... We are all big golfers in our family!!! You made this harder! Hahahah

Ignore my panic. Lol... Talked to my FI and he said the same people from his side would come regardless if it was a couple hundred more... And to not stress and go with what we like. so Sensatori it is. We are going golfing one day, but will work with a course to negotiate a mini tournament so price is reasonable. I guess as the date approaches for us to send out invites- I am starting to worry no one will come! Haha

Haha I have those worries too. You guys are in 2016 though which is a lot of time for your guests to plan and save :). And I think it's true that the people that will come will come regardless. Sensatori is amazing - my top choice for that area for sure!

I'm actually looking at the Paradisus hotels now... and even considering Dominican! I think the more I research, the more I second guess myself

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
