The Disappearing Wedding Dress

Recommended Posts

So this the dress I wanted....it's a davids bridal dress only in stores, only in the US only $250.00 REGULAR price ( I can't remember the exact price but it was 200 & something). I was going to drive to Rochester in April to buy it... I went to website yesterday to get the product number so I could call them and make an apt but the dress is gone! :( can't seem to find it any where! So disappointed!

I scanned the internet hoping to find one that someone is selling but nothing the only thing that came up was a website called sweetieveningdress, I assume they copycat dresses, they said the org price was 900.00 and they we charging 2 something...I don't know exactly now because I can't get into their website either now :(

Help!

It was probably discontinued. If you still have the item # for it, call the store in Rochester and see if they still have the samples in their racks.

Yeah I agree it's probably discontinued. I would call your local store. They would be able to call around to other ones to try and locate it for you. Good luck!

David's is really good about returning things, but you would have to return it in the US if you need to. Wedding dresses generally fit a size smaller than usual. I live just outside Toronto but bought my dress at Davids in Buffalo and had to get a size bigger than what I normally wear.

There is another site you can check if things don't go well. It's www.preownedweddingdresses.com  They have tons of stuff - new, used, and samples. All designers, all colours. Some of the ones they have are gorgeous and a lot of them are being sold for 50% or less of what the retail price is. and they have a system for payment so that nobody gets ripped off for either money or a dress. Definitely worth checking out for anyone that is on a budget. You could always go and try a store dress on then check the website and see if what you want is there.

Good luck with your dress!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
