Underwater Trash The Dress (Ttd)

Recommended Posts

We are the same way! We wanted to have a BLAST and didn't want a crappy DJ!!!  I got the light up dance floor too, so that will be fun too!! I can't wait-- we are having our reception on the beach and I think the light up floor is going to look amazing!!!  I love that music chooser too! Makes it so much easier!!!

SO far Dean helped me with the video, DJ, and gave me some contact for local flower vendors... I am planning on bringing a majority of our decor (chair sashes, aisle decor, paper lanters, centerpiece, etc)... The items through the resort are ridiculously priced!!!

As for flowers I haven't really decided... I really only will need flowers for a little decoration so I plan on contacting Flores Riviera Maya--but haven't decided what exactly I want yet... I'm thinking just pomander/kissing balls.... but I may not get them at all...

I actually ordered my bouquets and bouts through Bloom Bridal.  http://www.bloombridal.com/

I did not want to pay hundreds of dollars for flowers that I'd have to throw away... I want to keep my bouqet and put it in a shadow box with my dress and other wedding keepsakes... Judy is custom making my items and her prices are great and I can keep them forever!  I may get the pomander balls from her too, but I just don't know what I'd do with them after the wedding and I don't know how many tables I'll need to decorate yet so I don't want to pay for too many... But there is a waiting list for her so I wanted to ensure that I'd get my items, so I went ahead and ordered

I am so happy to have read through this thread!

Trash the Dress is going to be a highlight for me as I love the artistic aspect of what can be done. Wedding portraits have such an elegant, raw, naturally flawed but timeless look to them it will be a bonus to add the TTD memories to add some flare!

Because i have two sons who love to be "different" I will be buying a knock off dress similar to my real dress and spending decent money on waterproof makeup artistry and a photographer. I know in my heart my boys will absolutely cherish and be thrilled to see their mother being a creative non traditional bride who embraces the artistry! Let the photographer sourcing begin...

I really wish vendors would put their prices on their websites.  I don't want to waste anyone's time.  I want to see who is in my budget and then go on from there. I've looked at a lot of vendors sites and some of them are just out of my price range.

I am looking for a photographer for ttd. Since it doesn't have to be on site, I can skip the vendor fee. Guess I just need to fill out the contact form to get their prices.  Ever since I saw some photos of this, I can't wait to do it.  I am soo excited to put on my wedding dress and get in the water!

Most have quick forms to fill out to submit quotes that take less than 5 minutes. They all realize that brides need to research and aren't offended if you inquire about their pricing and packages. They are used to it.

I feel the exact same way. I have contacted Ivan Luckie and his prices are very reasonable and his portfolio is awesome. He is also quick to respond. I have looked into Del Sol but although they have beautiful photos they are pricier. Unfortunately, I can't mention what the prices are because they ask that their prices not be disclosed. Not sure why but I will respect it.

May I ask, why do people want to "trash their wedding dress"? I am very curious about this....

I don't mean any disrespect by my question but if you are really destroying it such that cleaning can't fix it, why?

Thanks!

Usually dresses end up looking just fine after a session- salt water doesn't wreck the dress (and is less harmful than dry cleaning chemicals!)... Trash the dress is more of an expression in most cases. Obviously if you dump oil based paints on it or something it would be ruined/ but most brides after crazy beautiful underwater shots (for example) hang their dress to dry after a quick rinse and you can't even tell!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
