It was the perfect day with the perfect company! I absolutely recommend my photographers! They are really amazing artists and lovely persons to work with. Really professional, punctual, and also respectful!

Hello!!! I think I got lucky, I was working with a wedding coordinator at the Azul Fives, but he went away to another job, so the new coordinators didn't know what we had negotiate or not, so we kind of took advantage of the situation, but everything we said was totally true!

 

Actually I am really disappointed on the hotel's organization and logistics, but in the end everything went great and everything was absolutely perfect!

 

Your photos are gorgeous! Really beautiful! And your dress is stunning! Congrats on being a Mrs! It looks like everything turned out beautifully!

Hello Ladies. My wedding was over a week ago and it was Amazing! The hotel staff are very friendly, and they always do their best to make sure you are happy. Food is great and drinks are good. I highly recommend you to build relationships with all bar tenders or waiters from the hotel, they are usually the ones that will be taking care of you and your guest the day of the wedding.  One negative thing I can say is that the communication, organization, and logistics are very bad. Something that happen to me was that there was another wedding the same same as mine. I asked multiple times to the coordinators the location of the other wedding and first the told me it was going to be at the Zky terrace. The night of my rehearsal dinner one of the onsite coordinators told me that the other wedding was going to be at the beach and mine was going to be at the garden by the pool. In other words the other wedding was going to be few feet away from my wedding. I was very upset about the situation. Finally they were able to move the other wedding to the zky terrace. The good thing was that I had an outside wedding coordinator and she helped me to keep everything organized. I had some outside vendors like, photography, video, and dj. Thanks to my wedding coordinator we were able to negotiate the vendor fee. 

 

I  also want to share something important with all of you.

 Something that I found out was, that you don't need lomas/Miami to book your wedding at Azul Fives.I know that the majority have all ready a contract with lomas/Miami. But, If you hire a local wedding coordinator that worked at AF before you are good to go. The vendors fee are a lot cheaper and you will have the flexibility to bring anything and any vendors you want. We had someone in our group that didn't work with lomas. She hired a wedding coordinator from playa del Carmen and the coordinator took care of everything, she was able to bring her own dj, flowers, tables, chairs and anything she wanted. For those that want to save money and still have time to schedule and plan your wedding. I highly recommend you to consider other options than just using lomas/Miami. The service and quality lomas/Miami offers is very poor compare to other coordinators from the hotel. Lomas/Miami will make you feel the pressure to get a contract with them. Just take your time and analyzed your options. I compared prices from outside vendors and what lomas/Miami offers and an outside vendor is 100% better than what lomas offers. Better quality, better service, better price. I know we have brides in this forum from different countries and their rules or policies to book a wedding are different, but it would not hurt to try and look for other options than just jump the gun and work directly with Lomas/Miami. Take your time and talk to your travel agent. See if by hiring a wedding coordinator from Playa del Carmen is a better option for your budget. Just keep in mind that the travel agents that are karisma certified,most likely are going to give you the option to only work with Lomas/Miami.

It is important for me to share this info with you guys because I believed you all need to know that not only Lomas/Miami can do weddings at Azul Fives. Unfortunately the service, prices and quality that lomas/Miami offers are very poor and i don't think it is fair for any future bride to pay crazy prices or have to make sacrifices because of Lomas/Miami. Use this info as an advice and don't feel the rush or pressure from Lomas/Miami. Look at your options and chose whatever works better for you and your budget. For those that are not on the FB page, i highly recommend you to join the group "Azul Fives Hotel Brides"

@@TinkerSofi thanks!! My wedding is June 24, 2016. I booked the Sky deck but always dreamed of a beach wedding but most brides don't like the location or gazebo. So if anyone has pictures of a beach wedding that would be great

@snswedding spoke with one of the Lomas representative and she got some more info on the beach location. i think the gazebo is very pretty there actually. I like it more than the new beach location (which is an upgrade). The only downside being that it's really close to the pool. Depending on the time of your wedding you may or may not have that many people around. Yes, it's not as private as the sky deck, but it all depends on how picky you are with privacy :)

@@jswllms I have been back and forth on the whole beach situation. After my conversation with one of the WCs last week I was feeling better about it but I just heard got an email tonight saying that the Zky Terrace is available and they have agreed to let my group use it for our ceremony. My WC sent me some pics and now I think I'm leaning towards going with the Terrace. My fiancé and I are going to make the final call in Sept at the BDR but for now we're keeping it on the Terrace. 

 

Like @@TinkerSofi mentioned it just really depends on how much privacy you want. If you don't mind being close to the pool than I think the beach would be really nice. They reassured me that if I had it on the beach that all the beach chairs are removed and they keep people away from that area on the beach. It also really depends on the time of day and time of year you get married. I'm getting married at 4:30pm in Jan so they were saying that most of the guests will probably be getting ready for dinner at that time but of course you never know how many will hang around.

@@snswedding2016 it's such a hard decision. After seeing more pictures of the Terrance in another thread, I may just have it there as well.

@@jswllms the terrace is gorgeous :). I think it's the next best thing to the sky deck. You get the privacy and the view for free!

I NEED THIS!!! I have signed with the hotel for my wedding date and sent my deposit in, but does that mean that i am now stuck with lomas? I want to bring on my own photographer, dj, and bring in my own flowers... but there is no way i can pay 800 for each one of those!!! So far ive only got a 200 deposit down on this wedding and i wouldnt be against losing it to get something much cheaper!

 

Also, how do i get approved to be on the FB site, i put my request in like 3 weeks ago and haven;t heard anytning :/

I got to sign my room agreement contract on Monday, scared, very scared...

    • i was 100% happy with my cake! it was the most amazing cake and when i travel down again i will be requesting a smaller size cake than the one she made me for my 25th anniversary renewal.  I did everything by FB messanger and Paypal! she is on point with her cakes and running her business! I give her 5 Stars and then some! Thank you for making my day amazing!
    • I purchased a suit from Studio Suits in spring 2019.  I looked around everywhere because I was looking for a specific color which wasn't easy to find, so when I found it on their website I read all the info on their website where they claim to deliver high quality suits, premium material, great tailoring, etc. It couldn't be more false. First of all the company is from INDIA and you won't find out until you receive the package. You order from Stu Suits and receive the package from Harry Suits. I received a suit that was at least two sizes bigger, the shoulders where different one from another, the hamming on the ankles was visible and poorly done.The quality of the fabric was extremely mediocre. The lining looked and felt cheap, no attention to details and no mention anywhere of the kind of material.  When I placed the order I did not receive any welcoming email, but simply one stating my measurements were  not correct and I needed to pay for a trial suit 99$. I re took the measurements and confirmed them. They simply replied saying "all sales are final". When I placed the order they said it would take them 6 weeks to deliver the "custom made suit". I received it within ten days, why? because it wasn't custom at all. I can't stress enough how bad the quality of their product and service is. There are so many other services that can deliver so much better quality for less than what this con company asks for. Hope this can help you folks
    • Karla Casillas is dishonest and a liar . DO NOT USE her . She will be the missing wedding planner on your wedding day . After being paid in full she did not show up and texted  that she is sick . We had to take over  to save the wedding of 150 guests at Grand Velas . Cabo  MISSING WEDDING PLANNER.
    • You might consider underground studio Puerto Vallarta. They are a young coupe doing an excellent Job at affordable rates.
