@@Lilgabri03 I'm not doing the videography because my cousin is doing that part, but their video package is $3000. Videos are a lot apparently!!

@@Lilgabri03 I'm paying $1900 for 4 hours of photos and 3 of video. plus the $800 vendor fee so $2700 for the whole deal. I'm considering adding another hour to the pictures. We also get a DVD with all of our pictures and some prints as well.

Got it TinkerSofi, yea thats a pretty good deal then :-) Tinkersofi-What if you wanted more photo/video? do you have to pay per hour?

@@Lilgabri03 no, he has more packages, he has some that go up to 8 hours of pictures for $1950 and the 8 hours of video are $1750. We just wanted to get both photos and video so we had to split our budget for that in half and that's how we ended up with those packages haha. My dad now offered to pay for pictures and he said why we don't add an extra hour so I have more of the reception . That means I can just bump up to the next package. Octavio did give us a deal because of the $800 that we need to pay, so he's giving us an extra hour of service for free. It's a small portion of the $800 but I understand because we're not paying that much to begin with! haha

 

We weren't interested in a trash the dress session because we are having another wedding reception in Argentina for my family and we'll do it then but I know you can add it to whichever package you choose. You can also choose to have a TDD instead of the couples session

I am thinking of a garden reception.  Does anyone have pictures of what the layout will look like so I can plan out how to decorate?

For those who have visited the hotel, does it have a nightclub or somewhere where we can continue the party after the 11:00 pm limit? How far is the hotel from all the Playa nightlife and how hard is it to get there?

Apparently the hotel has a bar, the Zky Bar which is open until 1 am. I believe they have dancing and stuff. There are also apparently a few clubs in Playa that are fun. it's 10 minutes away and I think someone said about a $12 cab ride. The hotel can probably arrange a van for you or something in advance. You may want to ask. We're planning on doing the Zky Bar.

@ thanks! The info from the hotel on the bar implies that it's more like a sports bar/lounge and we want more party. I guess I'll have to wait until we go visit to know for sure but if it's not too hard to get to Playa that's always a good option.

@@TinkerSofi and everyone! OMG I feel sick! Just came across this banquet brochure http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/planning/Weddings_Banquet_kit_2014.pdf and the prices are totally different to the one I have originally being looking at. The 'family style' has gone from $38.00 to $89.00!! What's this about?!
