Hi Ladies,

Do any of you know what the Always & Forever Ceremony actually looks like (as in, pictures, not just a description)?  I can't get a reasonable response from my WC, but because we're doing our ceremony on the skydeck I'm hoping the landscape speaks for itself - I didn't want to have to spend another $3k to upgrade the ceremony as well.

I don't have pictures but one of the members here posted a website with videos. Here is the website http://www.ustream.tv/search?q=azul+fives

it can give you a pretty good idea as to what it looks like. I know that at the sky deck we get the nice stone and glass table, rather than the table with the skirt on it, for free and the white wooden chairs (which are fine by me). From the videos I found that less was more up there so we're also going with the free package rather than spending 3k on top of the 1700

to any girls who have done the bride's dress rehearsal, how far is the beach from the hotel? How much do you have to walk?

Where did you hear you get the plexiglass table for free??? I was told that the skirted table was included and the table that was clear was $200 (managed to get it for $150 since that was what the price was quoted at BDR). That is for a sky deck wedding and on top of the $1700! The set ups I had seen of the sky deck had a skirted table and I hated it- so I'm upgrading but they certainly said it was a rental that needed to be brought in by lomas.

I asked my WC because i also wanted to know how much was the chandelier I saw on some of the videos. The chandelier is $250 but she said that the table is actually part of the gazebo so it's included.

"The Chandelier is $250 and the stone and the stone altar table is a fixed item with the gazebo- so no extra cost J"

Hmmmm I'm doing the chandelier but at the reception... Maybe the gazebo tables are different at fives than sensatori sky decks... But I thought the "package" was identical with what you get.

Damn! Oh well... $150 wasn't too bad... I will suck it up I guess.

Maybe, I think the packages are the same so I guess the gazebo is just different. I won't mention it to her, if they made a mistake too bad for them, they're already ripping me off left right and centre haha. Although I do feel bad for my WC because she's so sweet

Hello everyone!

I am super new to this site! We are getting married July 2015, I have sent out my invites and am just waiting for people to confirm. I am waiting on the wedding planner to get back to me.. Has anyone booked that incredible resturaunt with the jungle views for a reception? Also how does it work when using an outside source for wedding decorations?

Welcome to our little planning thread! I'm not sure which one is the restaurant so I can't give you any useful info.

As for outside sources with decorations, be careful, if some other vendor comes to set it up they charge an $800 fee per vendor. We're renting a few things from a lady that I heard from here. She's meeting us outside somewhere in Playa and we're bringing things in as if I had brought them from home. The hotel still charges a set up fee, but to give you an idea of how much money we save compared with going with Lomas: We want string lights across the terrace, Lomas charges somewhere around $200 per string, with 13 bulbs each and I will be paying $15 per string, with 25 bulbs. Even with the set up fee there's no comparison. Then we're trying to keep flowers to a minimum because that's another money pit and using fake flowers where necessary. I heard that the set up fee gets arranged when we get there (which is a bit nerve wrecking at least for me that I like to know how much everything will cost) but i goes to a max of $5 per person.

On totally unrelated notes. Our guest list pretty much jumped in the last few days ahaha! We went from expecting 30 people to pretty much everyone say they were coming last minute, so we're at around 47 including us. Sadly, only 3 people away from getting our third free person because many are booking on their own  :( but at least we get a free cocktail party! yay!

Her name on here is mrsHK. I just sent her a message and then she emailed me with the prices and shared a Dropbox folder with all the pictures :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
