oh that is awesome! I am just going to tell my guests to push the bed together too! I would assume they don't have rooms with king or queens is because the resort is so kid friendly and most people going have 2 beds.

@@racht33 I would say don't even tell AF that you're doing it and push the beds together yourself. I don't think they can bill you if you do the work. lol! My fiance is a total macgyver - he moves furniture around in every hotel room we stay in to make the most out of the space. haha

this is exactly what I was thinking haha. I know they won't move the beds for you, so why would they charge you?

my brother and his gf booked a deluxe room and requested a king or queen bed. We'll see what happens! No one else in our group has though so I might tell them to just join the beds too!

I've been to hotels that had 2 queens and that was nice. Even if you have kids it's cool because the kids are basically swimming in the queen bed haha.

Ok ladies. This is from the horse's mouth:

"OK so yes, Azul Fives is expanding the resort rooms. They are adding one and two bedrooms, but they are not adding deluxe rooms or renovating what currently exists. They do have a very small handful of deluxe rooms with king beds, 5 I believe. They don't advertise them because they have so few. We can request the king beds but just like every other hotel, they cannot guarantee that you will get them as they are based on availability. This would apply to every other resort that offers both one and two bed options for the same room. Requests are NEVER guaranteed. I would of course add it to the booking and email the hotel directly to emphasize the request but not a done deal."

So definitely worth getting guests to have the TA email in advance to see what they might be able to get. Still waiting to see if it's going to be a deal breaker for us.

For the Canadian ladies, Air miles if you're working with Transat, and depending on your agent, allows you to use your air miles to purchase certificates that will reduce the cost of your trip. I found out with a Transat travel service (few locations around the country. google to find one close to you) that you can also use them with that TA for air Canada vacations as well. They have just raised the amount for Transat to $800 per person that you can reduce your trip.

If you collect air miles, which we do with an air miles Amex, go to the air miles website and click on travel and using your points. It will explain it there. We should be in line to easily reduce our trip cost by about $600 each. There are a few rules but they're easy to find out.

Do they actually make up the two beds pushed together as one bed???? That would be ok but if they turn around and pull them apart to make them every time you push them together that sort of defeats the purpose. If they make the bed up as one bed , hey that works for me!!!!!!! And it just might fix it for our friends too!

From the picture it looks like the bed was made as 1. I dont see why they would take them apart every time they went to clean.  if they did .. I wouldn't think they would do it more than  the first time. They may get the point that you want them that way on the second time seeing them together . :) @@acw271011

Hello!! Yes I did!! I paid $150 for photographers, $100 for the DJ and my wedding planner arranged not paying for her even though they also brought the flowers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
