Hi everyone! I wanted to share more of my pictures for you all. Hopefully this link will work. :) You all will love your wedding there. It's amazing!

That did not work. I'll keep trying to figure out how to post a link! Copy and paste doesn't work. Boo.

I'm trying this again...

Congrats! Your pics are stunning and I love the colours!! Very cool!

I noticed you have some shots out on the pier - do you know with a very small group if you can have an actual ceremony out there? Is there a cost and if so do you know what it is? I'm struggling with getting a resort. Really struggling in fact. We're a really small group just for a renewal and I know I'm being really picky. I've gone around a few times over Azul Fives and originally it was because it's a family resort. I wanted adults only very close to Playa but the price points are just too high.

You can get married on the pier! I don't know the cost, but I know they have weddings out there.

I read through all 48 pages over the weekend and even though it's not adults only I think I'm leaning very strongly towards this resort. I was digging around for stuff today and came across the attached article which might be of interest to the ladies planning their weddings!

Good luck to all of you!

This is their busier season I believe so that may be part of it...

Are you using the original email thread and sending your emails to the general email address and not just to Brigitte? I was told to ensure I do this.... I tend to wait 3-4 days on average lately ... Used to be about 48hrs.

I haven't heard back from Brigiette since November and getting married next month. Same experience for me.. she was quick to respond at first and slowed down more and more over time. Does anyone know have any suggestions for how to talk to someone at the hotel directly? At Azul Fives?

@@Kelly1331 How about sending an e-mail to the general planning e-mail. I think someone posted it a few pages back or on the azul sensatori page. I've also had a very good response from their online chat, you can get the general planning email.

I haven't emailed Brigitte since like september or october. Am I underplanning? I feel like everything she can take care of is pretty much done. I just have to decide how I'm going about hair and makeup. I know I'm getting it done at the resort but not sure what time, etc.

You aren't under planning. There is only so much you can do until a random question comes that you can't find on here!! I don't even have my hair appt yet - we are thinking 11 for me but still working out when to do all the BMs and I leave in 12 days :)

Yes, that's the Sky Deck. A fabulous extra $1700 lol That's where we are having our ceremony too! :)

The Sky Terrace is one level below the Sky Deck (I would do your cocktail hour there) that's is where we are having ours. The Sky Terrace is the outdoor patio area of the Zky Bar and overlooks everything also.

I initially wanted our reception at the Sky Deck too I just cant handle the idea of $15 extra per person to do that. So we went with a garden reception. Plus they said it can be windy. I have photos if you end up interested in seeing the garden reception area.

We are using Wright Travel Agency who specialize in destination weddings for group travels. Azul's will assign you a wedding coordinator. They are in a Miami office. You deal with that coordinator until you get down to Azul Fives. Then you deal with the onsite coordinators.

If you don't mind me asking how much is the whole wedding costing you?? I'm trying to figure out what to budget!

If you are working with a GI certified TA, there are different perks. One of the incentives is for a free cocktail reception, all the way up to free limited private events based on the number of rooms/nights you book in your wedding group block. You should talk to your TA about this and ensure it is also open to you. Im not sure if you are eligible if not working with a GI certified TA though.

What is a GI certified TA?

What is a GI certified TA?

"gourmet inclusive certified Travel Agent". which means that the travel agent is well versed in the karisma properties and is endorsed by the hotel because they trust they understand their product and can represent it in a way that Karisma demands.

A good way to get a budget idea is to go to the weddingsbylomas website which has all the pricing and use this to figure out your costs. Approximate your guests and plan accordingly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
