Hello,

Does any knows how much is to have a legal ceremony at the sky deck?? I know at the beach they only charge you $700.

I Imagine it must be the same plus the $1700 to rent out the sky deck but I could be wrong

For a legal ceremony on the Sky Deck, I was told the extra costs are:

  • $1700 for the Sky Wedding Package
  • $250 for the Blood Tests
  • $500 for the Judge
  • $150 for Translation of your Wedding Certificate

I just wanted to share that as part of my gift to my bridesmaids I got these personalized beach bags and they're great! They come in different colors too. I'm excited to distribute them. And they're on sale on theknot.com:

Hi brides to be!

I recently got engaged but i pretty much have everything planned out in my head! lol I have been eyeing Azul fives for some time now. I contacted Karisma about attending the Brides Dress Rehearsal but the next available date is in March of 2015. I am aiming for an early 2016 wedding as i would like at least a year to plan everything (and so its easier on our pockets) but I am wondering if booking before attending the BDR is a good idea? I feel like i need to attend the BDR because I need to see in person what this place looks like and just get a feel for the place. Also i am completely in love with one of the memorable moments packages and for any brides that have used these... i want to know if the have any regrets in doing so? Or if they feel its not worth the money? I am so excited to begin wedding planning but i also feel so lost and overwhelmed at the same time!

Just one piece of advice- @@Lissie88 work with a GI certified TA so that you get all the perks available to you for having your wedding at a karisma property. Have them coordinate your BdR so it's on file that you are using that specific TA and then you will have access to deals/bonuses that others don't have. BdR is great... You will enjoy it, I did mine this past June. Karisma does a great job. There is tons of info on these boards about them! Read the official Sensatori thread too- as many of the same rules/packages/info apply to both properties. Memorable Moments packages are nice.., but if you are having large group, adding on for your extra people can add up quick on your budget! You can pick pieces from the look and don't have to do the entire thing though- so savings can be found.

@@Lissie88 the fb group is great, but it's a lot easier to find info on here and search through. Definitely work with a GI certified travel agent. I think if you book your wedding after the BDR, you get like $500 towards your wedding. Maybe it also works if you book the BDR within 30 days of booking the wedding, that's why having one of their certified TAs comes in handy. However, if you don't want to wait that long, I think you can still get a lot of valuable info by going after booking. I wish we could go, but the first date we'd be able to do that is May and we're getting married in August, so it's really not worth it.

We're going with the vintage elegance package for the reception tables. They do cost quite a bit of money, but at the same time if I had to factor in renting the decor or paying extra to bring it all with me, plus the set up fees, it would be pretty expensive anyway. It just worked out that their vintage elegance package had the colors we had picked haha.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
