@@ccphu - When I go in a few weeks for our wedding, I'll let you know about how many string lights you need and stuff too. My TA also is covering my wedding make-up, hair and rehearsal make-up and hair. She also got me upgraded from a regular room to a roof top one bedroom suite. And she also helped me convince them to waive the sky deck fee. Oh and she also got me a new WC who has rocked! She's not with Karisma. She's with Lomas and the hotel so she's been so great. I hear back from her in a few hours and she updates my detail sheet and sends it to me every time she makes a change. She's going to be at our meeting at the hotel too, which is nice. So my TA has rocked.

I'll let you know about the lights for sure!

@ Thank you!! that info will definitive help to know how many string lights i need.  :)

I'm going to ask my TA if i can switch my WC. It is very frustrating not getting the right answer or have to wait days/weeks to hear back from her.

The hair makeup package is free to anyone using a GI certified agent, as is the room upgrade. You just need to ask.

@@kmk2016 i just spoke with my TA and she told me I can only chose one of the three perks they offer. Cocktail hour, Bridal spa package, or Photo credit. I'm not sure if this is how it works with all TA or it is just mine that doesn't want to give me any more perks.

The only room upgrade she can offer is a first floor one bedroom suite close to the pool.

So jealous-  I wish my TA was as helpful as yours!  The agency we have been using has barely helped at all and even argued with me when I questioned some of the crazy fees/prices for the wedding and said that no fees could be waived.

It's probably only because my TA has had numerous weddings down there and she goes to them all. She knows everyone there really well. She is going Wednesday-Sunday my wedding week to help me with stuff. And to be my point of contact in case my guests need anything. So that will help me a lot!!

I'm in the same boat, @@ccphu.  I picked the bridal spa package as my perk and I'm not able to get upgraded to a sky suite, so we're going to pay for it on our own.

My TA told me the only perks were free cocktail hour, bridal spa or photocredit as well. She never mentioned a free room upgrade. Is everyone getting a free room upgrade from their TA? if so, im gonna have to harass mine lol.

@ how were you and your TA able to get sky deck fee waived? im having about 100 guests and was thinking of trying tio get that waived or the complimentary fee waived since I wont qualify because imnot staying 7 nights in a 1 bedroom suite.

I guess it depends on the number of guest you have and also your TA.

Hello,

Does anyone has pictures of the garden?? I'm planning to have my reception there and my WC sent me only two pictures and you can't even see the whole garden. :(  i want to know hum much space does the garden has and make sure that i can hang some string lights.

When I asked my TA about it, she said I don't get as many perks since my wedding is in February which I guess is the start of high season, and it's on a Saturday.  So it sounds like if you get married in the Fall or in low season, there are more perks since they have less weddings at this time.  But yeah, @kmciver lucked out on her TA.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
