So I just wanted to complain about something, why is everything so DAMN expensive? I mean come on, hiring a pianist for 45 min costs $700??? That seems Ridiculous. I really want live music at my ceremony, but $700 for 45 min?? Insane!

@@TinkerSofi where are you finding the $100 fabric hire?

right on the e-mail they send you with the info it should be under ceremony. Each sheer fabric is $100 and they recommend 2. Colored ones are a bit more expensive.

Get ready to get squeezed out of every penny! Like I said, I was trying to get natural flowers for my cake, exactly as it is on the picture they send you for the memorable moments cake and it was almost as much as my bouquet! I basically told them "eff that" and that they are insane. We're going with sugar flowers. I guess some people pay they ridiculous prices and that's why they keep charging the same.

I wanted to have 4 roses for my centerpieces, well, every rose is $10 USD, without any kind of work because I have to make the centerpieces myself. It's not like $40 per table is a big deal in the grand scheme of things but considering it is Mexico and roses grow in backyards, they are crazy. It's not like they have to go to Alaska to pick the flowers. Again, eff that, we're going with fake flowers. I refuse to just comply with their abuse.

The wedding industry regardless of where you are- is notorious for gauging on pricing. I thought it would be better in Mexico and at an AI, but nope... It's a big business! Thankfully I don't mind doing an bit of DIY and research to save money where I can- and spending money where I feel it will make an impact. This is my second chance at marriage and the costs last time around for a "city wedding" was absurd... So I'm actually kind of relieved we have some options to bring our own decor etc. When going so far away this time!

@@Lilgabri03 I know it's totally ridiculous! $1300 for a small LED dance floor is actually appalling! I could buy one cheaper than that!!

Does anybody know how the Lomas situation works? Do I just order from their website and then they deliver things on the day of the wedding?

So far we've decided on sky ceremony , sky bar white glove cocktail party and then sky reception with family dinner meal. Sooo excited! :D

I know that for lomas you have to go through your coordinator and they'll add it to your summary sheet

@mazarin@Lilgabri03 glad it helps ladies. After the ceremony I would really like to go a get some group photos on the beach before heading off to the cocktail party. Do you think that they'll be a quieter spot on the beach to do this? Don't want people in their swimsuits in the background lol x

Yes, the new brochure prices have increased significantly!!  Sigh.

How is everyone decorating for your ceremony and reception?  I want to bring some decorations with me and some I'll rent off the Lomas site.  For example, I was going to bring table runners but it might be less hassle to just rent them at $8US a piece.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
