@@cgcabezas Sweet..that's what I'll do then. Will send STD's soon. We're not using destinationwedding.com. I suppose they only work with residents of US. We're in Canada. I'm using an airtransat TA and hoping everything else i need, i can either get it from resort's WC (i believe it's Briggitte?) or this website. :)

My save the dates are out! I am so excited! Ive already started planning my wedding with my wedding coordinator, have to wait over a week for a reply though, it's like by the time I ask her a question. I forget the other one. I started getting quotes for photography and videography as well. Trying to locate a DJ as well

Hi! Would you mind sending me pictures of the photos you have of the garden/pool area? I'm thinking about doing our reception there, but I haven't been able to see any pictures. Thank you!!! My email is khmciver@@gmail.com. Thanks again!

@lilgabri03  Would you mind emailing me the chain of emails between you and the GM? I'd really appreciate it. The email is khmciver@@gmail.com. Thanks so much!!

@@KScheer - I didn't put your name. My bad. Do you mind emailing me your pics of the garden/pool area for the reception? I'm thinking I'm going to do that space too, but I haven't seen many pictures. Thanks!

@@Lilgabri03 - Never mind about emailing the GM email. I'm an idiot and just saw you posted it already. I totally missed it.

I think we're doing half of our tables with flower centerpieces surrounded by some votives, then the other tables with hurricanes surrounded by rose petals. I'm also bringing my own sheers for the gazebo, my own table runners and my own chair sashes. The resort charges you an arm and a leg for so much of it!

As for our room block, we did the biggest chunk of rooms as the deluxe room and, of course, most people are booking suites! Typical. :)

How many people are you all expecting for your weddings?

Lastly, if anyone has seen any recent reviews with pictures, can you let me know? I haven't seen any lately.

We're expecting anywhere from 30-60 people haha. We decided to block the majority of the suites because there was only like a $100 or $200 difference and it's a big difference in terms of a room! If you get those pictures of the garden could you please send them my way? sblopezb@@gmail.com. Thanks so much! We do love the terrace but we would like to avoid the extra fee if possible.

Hey Azul Fives Brides! Azul Fives is in my top pics for spring 2015 wedding but am a bit Leary of lomas, their outrageous outside vendors fees and such. I like to hear all the clever ways brides are getting around this! I read on one if the Azul Beach forums that a bride had all of her flowers done from an outside vendor and just had them deliver them to the gate and her family collected them. She said she saved a ton of money on the flowers which turned out great and didn't have to pay the bogus outside vendor fee! Anyone else considered doing this??? Flowers are a big thing for me but don't want to pay an arm and a leg...

I haven't gotten the pics of the garden/pool area yet, but I really want to see some because I don't know what it looks like!!

@@BDABeachBum

I remember reading about a girl who had her flowers delivered and her fiancée met them at the gate. The flowers from Lomas are ridiculously expensive, but I'm just doing flowers on half of the tables instead of all of them. I just don't want to have to worry about getting flowers that day b/c I know I'm going to be so stressed out. Eek!

is may be a seemingly silly question to some people, but I was just wondering to those who have been to the Azul or Karisma resorts what level of alcohol they serve.... I know it shouldn't matter but me and my friends like our cocktails and don't want bottom shelf stuff.... Thanks!

It's all top shelf name brand- probably the best selection I've seen- on par with sandals.

If you go to the last page of the private banquet info from karisma they are all listed there under international bar

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
