Any Wedding Groups Leaving Newfoundland

Recommended Posts

@@kcole123 sorry just seeing your messages now! 1690 sounds like a good price! I'm still in the process of getting my date the the hotel is taking forever to email me back! Seems like 1 email per week so frustrating. I want April Fools as my wedding date @ the Grand Palladium Punta Cana. I will keep you posted on my prices. I want Air Canada pricing too but I don't want to wait.... My guest are already looking for info... My guess is that I will probably go with sunwing... But we'll see. Who's your TA?.

Hi Meandhim,

My travel agent is someone thought I found recommended on this site. I have to tell you that I have been through quite a few travel agents. I don't know if I was just too early looking for prices but it seems I couldn't get much info from them or even a little help or advice on what to do. The one I have now is really awesome and seems to be interested in making sure I get the best quote possible. Her name is Vanessa Martinez from Centre Holidays.

She is still checking out a few other options for me but at least I will stick with $1690 if nothing else comes back reasonable. It's cheaper than most quotes I have gotten.

I also seen a few other people on here having their wedding date booked at the resort and all other things like photography and reception before they have flights. I was wondering about doing that too but kind of nervous about it. I want to wait it out another couple of weeks for flights prices but I don't want to miss out on the dates I could have things booked at the resort. It's so hard to figure out what to do.

I booked my wedding date first because I wanted a specific date and when speaking with the resort they told me to book a wedding date first before flight....I'm not really sure how most people do it that way... But my travel agent said they have nothing to do with the wedding just the travel so...I don't know. I just sent in my $300 deposit 2 mins ago so now just waiting on conformation to make it official! So excited! Could you send me your TA's contact info I may use her if mine falls through. Markandshavonne@live.com

I will for sure. and congratulations on your wedding date being booked. I should probably do that too so I can have things booked for the wedding at least.

I'm getting married this May at the Royalton Punta Cana and my whole group is flying out of St. John's.

We booked the trip in October, and other than those who chose higher upgrades, everyone is paying under $1800.

My biggest advice would be don't book with LeGrow's Travel like I did (huge headache, lots of errors on our file and poor customer service).

haha I have contacted Legrow's travel first when I started searching for prices but I decided not to go with them because they didn't respond as quick as some of them. Yes I have contacted a lot until I found the right one.

Is everyone sending out save the dates? I was thinking on maybe just sending out invitations and hoping to give people 11 months notice at least. That's why I am trying to get the flights booked so soon.

What do you girls think of the price of $1690 leaving St. John's. I am trying to get some input as I don't want my guests to feel ripped off or anything.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
