Wholesale Flowers Around Tulum/playa Del Carmen

Recommended Posts

I know it has been quite a while since anyone has posted on this forum, but I am looking into outsourcing my flowers as well. Have any of you had any luck?

Thanks!

i plan to straight up try anything to avoid paying $55USD per bridesmaid bouquet.  Which is approx $70canadian.  I have 7 bridesmaids and this quickly adds up.  $500 in flowers, ya no.

I have asked the hotel if Walmart and Costco are considered external vendors and they have clarified that they are not.

I design bouquets and flower arrangements as a hobby so that part isn't difficult for me, it is the sourcing of these flowers that I'm finding tricky.

I'm surprised to hear that someone said that Sam's club doesn't have flowers as I have read from different people that they do.

I leave for Mexico June 13th and will be on the hunt and running errands June 15th.  I will at that point know if I am making my own arrangments or paying a ridiculous amount.

I can't get another florist shop to arrange them because at that point it would be another vendor doing them and I could be charged another $200 or more as a penalty.

Hey Veryvalentine,

you can actually have the outside florist do the bouquet and deliver at your hotel entrance, and you could meet them there for pick up.  in that way you will avoid the vendor fee.  or even coming to flower shop for pick up.

Good luck , I am sure all will turn out beautiful.

Would I avoid the vendor fee? I am worried that the hotel will see outside bouquets and charge me a vendor fee.

But if they see that I am bringing in loose flowers than its not through a "vendor" but through a store and since I put them together it seems like more of a case to defend that I didn't use a vendor.? I arrange flowers on the side so I am actually looking forward to putting them together . ;) let me know what you think.

Yes of-coarse,  the fee is only if the outside florist steps into the hotel by that I mean wanting to deliver the flowers to your room.

They would not charge even if they see you with professional bouquets.  ( im just thinking this might save all the time to prepare the flowers.)

Happy Planning

Hi there,

So I was quoted flower prices from my resort and I almost passed out. The flowers were expensive and nothing special. I am looking to get wholesale or bulk flowers from a vendor anywhere between Tulum and Playa del Carmen. I want to make my own arrangement and bouquets. Any recommendations? Wedding in 10 days, gotta get on it.

Thanks a million

Hey! Looking for flowers in bulk I found a floral site with decent prices. They will prepare my bouquets and sell me foliage by the bulk for reception touches. Will ask if she can sell only by the bulk flowers

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
