Ceremony Progression For A Small Wedding! Any Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

We are having a small DW comrpised of approximately 20 of our closest family and friends.

7 of the 20 are in our bridal party.

I dont know if we should have them standing beside us or sitting down. Or even walking down the aisle for that matter....

I feel like if 7 out of 20 people are standing up/ walking down the aisle -  it is going to make for a very small, sad audience.

I am also letting them where whatever they want so no one is going to be matching.

Any suggestions or prior experience is greatly appreciated!!

Hello and congratulations! Small weddings are so nice, it feels romantic and intimate and special, it's an amazing feeling that's for sure.

If you wanted to have your bridal party sit down and be a part of the audience, I think that's a nice idea, and this way the focus will really be on you and your hubby standing at the front! Personally, and this is just my opinion, I would still have the bridal party walk down the aisle. This a way to feature your party, and in a way, introduce that the wedding is starting and you will make your grand entrance soon. Especially if your bridal party is wearing whatever they want, if they aren't matching, you want them to stand out, right? Isn't that the point of a bridal party in the first place? If they are wearing whatever they want, and sit with your guests, you may as well not have a bridal party at all. Personally I think it's nice to feature those you chose to be close to you and stand with you on your day.  :)

@@JennaMarie901 I completely agree with @@jackshayne0123. I would have them walk down and then perhaps reserve the first row for the bridal party to sit in. I was in my friends catholic wedding and since it was a mass ceremony that's exactly what we did, because no one would want to stand for an hour. This is also what we did for my sisters wedding. We walked in and sat down in the "audience" and then walked out after her and her husband walked down the aisle.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
