What Is Your Wedding Wow Factor Going To Be?

Recommended Posts

We're having a cigar roller set up in a designated lounge area and hiring fire dancers!

Where are you getting the churro cart from?

I wanted a fire dancer sooo badly, but they've basically banned them in most places in Playa! :(  My wedding planner is arranging for the churro cart--they're pretty easy to get from what I understand.

As photographers we LOVE capturing these awesome "wow" factors just as much as your guests enjoy them!

Honestly...when we have a couple add a touch of awesomeness making their wedding unique it definitely stands out in our minds (and photos) and for all of their guests. Mariachis, Mexican food carts (sweet Marquesitas are actually really popular), cigar rollers, props handed out during dancing and photo booths are all really popular. Actually recently photo booths are a really simple but guests seem to go crazy for them (we include a complimentary photo booth with all full day packages)!!!

Here are just a few of our recent beach brides & grooms own WOW factors from weddings we shot here in Cancun/Riviera Maya...

Great topic! I originally planned for a cigar roller as a treat for my FI, but when I showed him the idea to gauge his interest, he said he wouldnt want that because he would have cigar breath and I wouldnt want to kiss him HAHAHA.. I love the idea of Mariachi... so maybe that... we are doing a smores bonfire as our welcome event as well. I really wanted Fireworks or Wish Lanterns, but our resort does not allow either... so I will be stalking this site looking for more great ideas!!

I LOVE the idea of the churro and Mexican food carts, but I don't want ppl to leave the dance floor/venue during the wdding (I want my reception to be a huge party). Going to look into these and the cigar roller for our welcome beach party though! Great ideas here

I ma looking for  deal on a catamaran cruise as well! Let me know if you all have found a great deal in the cancun area.

We are getting a Catamarran cruise for about 40 people through Cancun Catamarran. http://www.catamaranscancun.com/ We are getting the Samba 1, it's not on this website though, it's on here, http://www.sambacatamaranes.com/en/

These both have very reasonable rates and Cancun Catamarran has catering options and open bar at a better rate!!! They also help arrange transportation! Good Luck!

@tygrrlilly I like the idea of cigar roller at the welcome beach party. I may do that. Would be a nice touch.

@@kmk2016 I was totally thinking about the cigar breath for the wedding if you do the roller there. ewwwww!

After our wedding, we're doing a beach bash afterparty with sparklers, glow sticks, music, open bar, party food. Will be a lot of fun! We also have some awesome prizes to give out there. Examples- person that traveled the farthest to come to wedding, couple that've been married the longest, first person to rsvp, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
