Any Other Calgary 2014 Brides?

I am hoping that no body has decided to come and forgotten to send back their RSVP!

Right now, our final numbers are 68 adults and 13 kids making a total if 81 so that is already more than enough! Tomorrow is our 45 day deadline so we have been working frantically to get all the paperwork done. And by frantically I mean me, FI spent the weekend golfing and relaxing...telling me not to worry and it will get done! Lol

Personally, if you feel people booked on their own and didn't RSVP I would send a quick reminder to all of them!

Your numbers are already high and I wouldn't want a surprise.  Chances are you would have heard from them, but you just never know, you know?    EDIT: hang on - your wedding is next month, I would probably feel fairly safe noone else is coming. But doesn't hurt to ask.

Your paperwork, as in - dinner choices, number of guests, cake, songs, etc?  Mine is due 90 days before and I have to send it in, in October. Should get working on that too.

HAHAHA MEN!!!!   No care in the world hey?

You are getting so close!

So my RSVP/booking deadline is coming up later this month and I want to avoid having to track down replies so I ordered these and am sending them out next week! On the back it reminds them to kindly reply by September 22nd and re-supplies our website address where they need to do so!

Hope it does the trick! attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1410048271.752808.jpg

@@kmk2016 I also can't see it. It tells me that I don't have 150 posts, ha!

We just texted or called people a week before the deadline. Some also didn't RSVP, although they were the minority. Most didn't send an official RSVP but they told us that they were or weren't coming, or they just booked their trip. I should probably go through the list and RSVP them myself for those that are already booked haha, just to keep the numbers updated. I really hope no one comes last minute with the fact they're coming because I'm going to have to be the bad guy telling them it's too late. It is truly very annoying.

I massed fb'd people and reminded them at our stag & doe family thing in August. I'm sure some people got annoyed but would be the same people who would of forgot. Everyone is paid up except for a few people booking on their own. We are at 53 people :)

and my fiancé is the same.. oh it will all get done, you have tons of time.. then when October hits he will be like oh sh*t oh sh*t. MEN

Fiance and I are in a little tiff right now.  I feel I am carrying the weight of the wedding, of the budget, of our fiances, of my car getting fixed (someone hit me last month and wants to try going privately). He says he is going to do stuff and isn't, then gets upset when I get upset UGH!!  So he asked what he can do - I said when I ask for your opinion, give me a straight answer, not some stupid joke about you wearing a banana hammock!  I understand the humor, but I am so stressed out I don't find it funny anymore.  Generally I love the control, I love the little projects, and such... but it's getting a bit much!

ha! sorry my vent for the day!

Rich and I had a tiff the other day as he feels like he was carrying the weight of everything when really it was even. All I can say is getting away for a few days really helped me and our relationship. With all the wedding stress going on, it was good for us to take a few days break and just miss each other. Anyway - hope it gets better :)

I'm sorry to hear that. Ugh, men sometimes... I wish I could be of more help but we haven't had too much of that, yet. I think what Mrsktobe suggested is a good idea. Sometimes taking a little time apart really helps to put things in perspective and miss each other. Also, talking with him, not when you're angry about his jokes, but calmingly telling him that while you appreciate the humour once in a while it would be nice if he accompanied it with some action on the to do list that he has because you're feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks ladies!  This is our first real tiff since we started.  I would stress out, but he's so laid back it helped.

But now we are getting into the nitty gritty, the stress is just a bit too much to bare so days, and we have 4 months left!

We did talk some today - calmly - and he asked for a 'to do list'.   It's tough to take time apart when we live together, I was almost thinking time together with NO WEDDING talk was what we needed.  Like not just a dinner out, but an activity or a weekend somewhere, etc.  Not that we can afford that, ha!

Thanks again... I know we all have our moments, and everyone here understands.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
