Congrats and welcome to the BDW site!

 

I'm in Ontario, just outside of Toronto but I know there are a lot of western Canada brides and brides to be here! You'll find tons of information, tips and ideas here that will help you with your wedding planning.

 

Be sure and check out the resort and vendor reviews too! Everyone is more than willing to share their info and experiences.

Hello! Planning is going good, it's kind of fast as we decided to get married this year after getting engaged 3 weeks ago tomorrow, so we have to make quick decisions! But it's coming together. I have the venue booked, deposit paid, guest list figured out, STD's ordered, website completed and we are working on group pricing this week for our wedding. Tons of fun though :)

 

Haven't been to any that were in January/February but I know there is one in Okotoks on the 20th.. I didn't know about the one at the Blackfoot Inn though! Might have to check that one out, thanks :)

Oh I hear ya, we were engaged for less than a year as well. Things happened quick but in the end it was good, I didn't have time to drag out decision making LOL. Sounds like you're on a roll, things are coming together! It is fun!

 

Yeah there is one at the Blackfoot, I might be there actually, helping my personal trainer with her fitness booth :) Once I know more details I'll let you know, if you stop by it would be so nice to meet in person!

Yeah at first I wanted to drag it out but my FI made me see that this way there is no dragging out or people with their opinions butting in LOL.

 

Things are coming together and hopefully they continue to! :) I'm waiting for the group pricing costs and rooms, once we get that I will breathe alot easier!

 

I might be headed to Edmonton that weekend but if not I will defintiely try!

 

Getting married in the Mayan on Nov 11/14. Staying at Bahia principe and getting married off the resort at the blue venado

Calgary here too... But long engagement in order to allow family and friends time to save $ and join us. Our date isn't until feb 2016!

 

Luckily I'm working with an amazing TA here in Calgary that specializes in coordinating destination weddings and has already been working with the hotel and tour operators to lock in my price just under 2 yrs in advance- so everyone can put down a deposit and then pay off their trips slowly!

 

Haven't been to any bridal shows yet though!

I'm in Calgary too! Getting married next month in the Riviera Maya, and I've missed every single wedding fair since the engagement, lol!

Lhills, I haven't been to any either! And there is no point in my going to ones at the end of September since I will be getting married a month and a bit later LOL!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
