When To Book All Inclusive Group Travel Packages From Canada

Recommended Posts

@@kcole123 - I just sent an email to your travel agent! I'm hoping she can help us. I am pretty frustrated with the TA we have now

Are any of the rest of you doing different length stays? We inquired about 5 nights and 7 nights for our guests, and apparently that's the difficult issue. The bulk of our group is staying 5 nights, but some people would like to stay for 7. Reading through these forums, it seems like a lot of people have people staying for different lengths. Not sure if this is more of an American thing?

We have 5, 7 and 10 day quotes from 3 different departure airports in Canada. It shouldnt matter. The inventory issue would be an even BIGGER reason for your TA to get a contract locked down for you ASAP.

Good luck!!!!

@@kmk2016 - Ughh this makes me even more upset! She's been acting like I requested the hardest thing.

@@kcole123 - Thank you again for the recommendation. She's already replied introducing herself. I know it's Friday afternoon though so I won't really expect to hear details until the next week. But i'm optimistic :)

My finace has said that worse comes to worse, we can push our wedding back to the Spring of next year, but I'm really hoping we can still do a December wedding. Thank you ladies!

really she responded to you already. that's awesome I figured she would have been gone home already that's why I didn't even message her. Maybe I should have. oh well I can wait until Monday. Yeah she don't disappoint. well she hasn't with me anyway.

and yeah your fiancé is right, if need be then at least the Spring will give you plenty of time. I got an email from the resort today and they received my deposit. yay I am so relieved at this point because I have that secure and also the wedding boat secured for the reception. My wedding is April 17, 2015 so I am doing pretty good with timing I think. I am just waiting on Air Transat to get back to the travel agent with the contract and stuff. It's been a long 3 months narrowing down a resort and travel agent. but now I feel it's all worth it and all coming together quite nicely. Hopefully it stays that way.

@@kcole123 - I found a couple more positive reviews on her, so I'm definitely hopeful!

This year will fly right by! That's awesome that you have your rate locked in. Your guests will have a lot of time to book and pay it off! How many are you expecting to come?

I started out with destinationweddings.com and hated them! I would call and get nowhere. I would ask for info and it would take a few days before I heard anything back. I finally just gave up, but I definitely wouldn't recommend them!

I would suggest talking to a Canadian TA who works with these resorts regularly ASAP to negotiate a rate for you and your guests... plus they often can get your a few extra perks!!

My TA has been fabulous and specializes in destination weddings... I totally recommend her (She works with brides from coast to coast). Her name is Laurielee (Laurielee.ca)

Thanks! I just emailed her :)

Hi there, We're planning to have our wedding in April 2015. I have talked to some TA's and the prices they give me for a 7 day all-inclusives are ridiculously high. I get prices for Riu, Dreams, Or Barcelo for around $2000 for just 7 days. It's too high, isn't it? I am very disappointed since I'd like to book a nice resort but keep the cost at $1500. From what I see now, it looks like we can only book a 3* for that price. I think that's way too high. Has anyone else experienced this?

What's your departure city? That plays a big part... And remember that Mexico taxes for AI packages are usually anywhere between $300-$400 a person on top of flight hotel. Seeing that April is the tail end of high season it's foreseeable to be around $2000 all in at a 4+ star at that time. See if there are credits that are offered for group bookings (every 6 one free for example), and the use that credit as a gift to all your guests splitting it by the number of bookings to reduce the price.

It also really depends on the relationship your TA has with your operator and resort...there are often deals out there that they can grab and apply to your booking.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
