When To Book All Inclusive Group Travel Packages From Canada

Recommended Posts

Well I am glad I am not along on this. I am from Canada and have contacted quite a few TA's and they said they could not get me a firm number as of yet because the pricing isn't out yet. I am trying to book for Mid - Late April of 2015. I am getting a lot of pressure from guests asking when and how much? so frustrating when I can't get this information from any TA. I thought I would be able to get something now but I guess I have to wait it out. My only concern is by the time I book out time to travel, that the actually wedding date wouldn't be available at the resort?

I am glad this thread started because I am having trouble and stressing out just a little..lol

I am in the exact same boat! I have to go on NS March Break due to work, I know it will be a bit more expensive...So far no pricing seems to be available... I am also worried about missing out on good dates, booking with a higher rate, etc. SIGH

I got a quote for an early-mid April 2015 wedding from a TA using Sun Wing vacations. However, she suggested we wait to get some of the other quotes because they will likely be less - she said that for Air Canada vacations they will only look 325 out from the travel date, and no word from West Jet on their time frame. So as much as I want to make a decision and start planning - it seems like I need to wait a little bit to ensure we are getting good rates!

I know it's hard to wait because you want to start planning and booking things, but that's just how it is in the travel world. Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for pricing. If your guests are giving you a hard time about prices, when, where, etc. just tell them to chill out! You'll share the info whenever you get it - it's not like you're witholding it for the fun of it. They've gotta relax! And you should too! Relax and enjoy this time, it goes fast :) Prices and dates will come soon enough, and everything snowballs after that. Have fun girls!

I feel all of your pain ladies! We are getting married March 6 2015 in Punta Cana and can't get flight info yet. We have pricing for the resort but our guests want to know flight info too, so very frustrating! We are also in the position where we can fly out of Toronto, Buffalo or Detroit, so we have a few options to help with pricing at least!

What travel sites is everyone looking at?

I booked mine before we had set times, I knew what day it would be but had no idea of the flight times until about a month or two later, it wasn't a big deal for us, as if was quite a deal of time in advance.

Thanks everyone!  We'd decided to hold of booking anything until late April when the flight schedule comes out for our 2015 dates.  This gave us time to get our Save the Dates out, so people have enough notice to get ready to pay the travel deposit.

I will work with a travel agent but I'll book the wedding date at the hotel myself - as far as I can tell there isn't any benefit of having the TA book the wedding, most of them will just put you in touch with the Hotel's wedding coordinator rather then booking it for you anyway.  I'm going to wait until we book the travel package before I book the wedding with the hotel - I don't want to pay a deposit to the hotel if I'm not 100% sure it's the resort we will pick.  We want to wait and see the exact pricing per person for the travel package before we decide.  Having said that - we are not picky on the date or time during the week we get married, if we were I may do it the other way around.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
