Hello all,  I have been doing a lot of reading on the older EDR posts, and they are mentioning things such as "20% off their guests room and the bride and groom stay free". Is this true for anyone else at generations? I'm nervous I didn't ask enough questions, etc. with my TA because I did not get any such deals. I know I am going during a busy season (end of December), but I have not been told anything about my credits from my guests staying being put toward my room, or staying free for any amount of time and we are paying a good amount for our room, which is the premium swim up suite, NOT a casita... (I'm staying at EDR). @@ChiTiff , I'm working with Nicki from Legacy and haven't gotten much from her side. What about you?

@@kfracassi you should qualify for some sort of promotion for getting married at GRM or EDR. The promotion that I'm getting for booking rooms is as followed:

Group Amenities* – 10 Rooms or more based on 3 night minimum stay

1 Free room for every 10 paid rooms based on double occupancy (11th room free) – Maximum of 5 complimentary rooms per group* ( so if I have 55 rooms booked, I get $6980 credited back to me)

20% discount off private events (Food & Beverage ONLY)

$250 Resort Credit for each guest

@@kfracassi Talk to Nikki!  I think you should definitely be getting ALL of the discounts that @@rtscent mentioned (though I'm not sure about the $250 resort credit for each guest).

I found the details in an email Nikki sent me when we first signed our contract, the subject is "Your Group Details Sheet".

I did just notice that your wedding date is Dec 30, so it's possible that you're getting married during a black out date for that promotion?  I think I recall there being a few of those dates right around that holidays.  Hope this helps!

Folks Karisma is offering a 50% promo for booking right now. My cut off for making payments has already passed so I have a few last minute guests booking better deals directly through the resort

I know this goes against my group perks but I already have 67 guests I'm over it

If anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to the Lomas gazebo flowers I got fake bouquets made on Etsy and they arrived last night. I think they look great! I got 2 gazebo bouquets made plus 8 small pomanders for my aisle all for $180 (includes tax and shipping) post-276059-142803233454_thumb.jpgpost-276059-142803234724_thumb.jpg

Here is the link to where I got them

**sneaks in** Hi :) Just joined this forum and BDW because we have decided to have our wedding at GRM too! I am kind of crazy overwhelmed by these 27 pages of posts but I am very thankful to all of you for posting! I fear I may come back with loads of questions, but I've gotten so much insight already and it's all thanks to you! :)

My main concern right now is cost....I'm not sure if this can be done on the cheap when we factor in all that is said in done!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
