We are getting married jan 2015, gran bahia principe coba Mayan Riveria. Can't wait ! It was so hard to choose a place and resort they all looked so nice.

My FI proposed Easter 2013, he did an Easter egg hunt in our house with big Cadbury cream eggs cause I love them, and at the end of the hunt when I couldn't find anymore he made me believe I missed one and he had the ring hidden behind the tv stand and got on one knee, I was totally shocked. We decided to wait till 2015 cause we had our first baby last aug and we wanted to enjoy this time in our life before all the crazy wedding planning.

Love hearing all your stories!!

Hi we are getting married on October 10, 2014 in Jamaica. We've been planning our wedding for 4 years now finally last year I told him that we need to "just do it".

On our 3 year anniversary June 13, 2010 we took a 10 day vacation to Florida. The day before we spent the day in miami. At 12am he decided to stop by a park on the beach. We walked around for a bit (I guess he was looking for a good spot). He then gave me a bottle in a wine bottle cover. It was a message in a bottle w/ a beautiful letter he had hand written and sealed. Once I finished reading he knelt down on one knee and said "will you marry me". I in turn said "what, yes" lol and we decided on Jamaica that same day.

Congrats everyone!

We are getting married on October 24, 2015 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay, Jamaica!

We've been together over 11 years, we've known for a while that we wanted to get married it was just a matter of money. The fiancée wanted to do city hall but knew how much I wanted the engagement period and I can't lie I wanted a shiny ring too :) He proposed on February 20th, 2014 just a day after our anniversary (I worked on our actual anniversary). It was very intimate and sweet at home, nothing too flashy. I cried like a baby :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
