No, we're all tide up and we must wave your invitation!
I think we're using this one and adding an option for:

__Shorely we'll try to be there!

The only downside is, only 20% of our invitees sent them back by the deadline... they might have been a little difficult for some people. My sister in particular tells me she feels so much pressure to be funny & witty on them so she hasn't sent hers yet.
What a clever and fun idea!

We did

___Bags are packed

___Suitcase is in the closet

It confused some people. We got RSVPS back from people who WERE going and they checked suitcase still in closet (b/c they havent started to pack)!!! We laughed our butts off!!! My mom checked it off too!!!smile120.gif

  • 1 month later...

Thanks for these ideas EVERYONE! I was racking my brain on what to put as we are asking for a prelim RSVP and then the people that say YES or MAYBE will get an official invite!

I think we will use something like this:

___Yes, save us a beach chair

___# attending

___Shorely we will try to be there

___No, can't make it but have a margarita for us

Also added:

**We are hoping to get an idea of the number of rooms we need to block with the hotel. We will not hold you to your "YES" response.

___# attending

jenn, we are putting the ___# attending part as well, since a lot of our invites are going to families of 3+ people. i think its a good idea.

and we want to know who their from but since a lot of people don't get what the M________ stands for, we're just doing this:

Name _______________

# Attending ____

___ You beach'ya, we'll be there!

___ Sorry, we sunburn easily.

so people will get that they at least have to put a first name, then we can figure it out from there or at least know who to call if they dont put a #!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
