Kelly lives in Nova Scotia, but I know she has done packages for brides all over Canada. I'd recommend her over Flight Centre or those types of places just because her specialty is Destination weddings.

Here's her website: www.destinationvows.ca/specialists/nova-scotia/kelly-neonakis-morash/

Check her out!

Not getting married until 2015...am I planning 2 early?

Hi Ladies! Congrats 2 u all! I have a question...am i planning 2 early for my wedding which is in May of 2015 or is it ok 2 start? If not, when should i begin planning? This site BDW is so complete that I can´t not stop thinking about it. My priorities : wedding dress and Photo session.

Please comment Ladies! Really need your input! Thanks!  Clarissa

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS Clarissa and all 2015 Brides to-be in the Riviera Maya!

Celebrating love is always good news   :)

Planning your wedding way in advance tells us that you are very organized and farsighted, keep on like that. You can make your dream of wedding come true. Our  Riviera Maya is a really good choice, we have had  gorgeous ceremonies here and you could be blessed by a spectacular sunset on  the beach.

Good luck and Best Wishes planning your Big Day!

  1. Hi Ladies!!! I was thinking the exact same thing, our wedding is March 2015 and im just beginning to work with our Travel Agent and solidify a date for the actual wedding at Secrets Maroma. Does anyone know what the weather is like at the end of March in Playa Del Carmen before I put a deposit down on the date??!! and what time the sunsets???

My travel agent suggested the earlier the better because wedding dates tend to book up quickly, and I also want to get the information out to my guests as soon as I can so they have a lot of time to save and plan themselves :)

Congratulations ladies!!!

Hi Clarissa,

My wedding is May of 2015 always. Where are you getting married? Back to your question lol I started planning our wedding summer of 2013 lol I know but I am not a last minute person where we have a young daughter and there will be lots to do with with getting her ready for the big day. We have out resorts narrowed down to our top 3 just waiting to hear back from travel agents to book we are looking for the best price for our guest so with luck we will book at the lastest end of April this year. Other then that you can start looking at invites and the save the dates (we have our done will just plug the date and place in once we book ) but besides planning things like favors, decorations, invites, dress picking, you really need to wait until you book so you have a set date it seems like forever for me I cant wait to book so i can feel like im getting stuff done. So i would start looking at resorts and whatnot the pros and cons look at booking sooner then later to avoid disappointment with dates. Hope this helps!

Hi! Congrats!! I'm getting married at Riu in Ocho Rios too and was wondering how your planning is going? Did u decide to go with the private or semi private reception? Also, did u find a photographer? any advice? Help!! Lol!!

Congrats everyone! Not too early at all. I am also May 2015 and we started in Nov. end of 2013. We already got book the resort. We started early in order to give our guests as much notice as possible. We wanted them to be able to save and plan over time and not rush around. As far as the dress and other details, I am going to wait a few months.

Where all the 2015 brides getting married? Any Riu Montego Bay?!

Hi Meg congrats? Did u decide to go with the private or semi private reception? I'm getting married at Riu Ocho Rios on May 22, 2015. Edited by FutureMrsGayle

I don't think it's too early. We started planning in June this year and our wedding is not until August of 2015. We got pretty lucky since the prices at our hotel just increased and so we got the older ones :). It definitely gives you enough time to do things calmly

I have started planning early as well. It seems that 2015 is the year for weddings. A lot of venues are already booked through June of next year, so the earlier the better.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
