Veil Vs No Veil For Beach Wedding?

Recommended Posts

I'm totally doing a long veil with veil weights to keep it in place... It covers my broad shoulders which I'm always self conscious of.... And it fits my vision... Do what feels right for you!

I would go for a veil if you really want, you can always get the weights. Its your day, and you don't went to look back, and think..... 'oh I wish I'd done something differently'

I think I will decide on the veil once I have the dress. If it completes the look with the dress, then I will go for it - depending on price of course too. But I also really love the hairstyles I've seen with flowers in them for destination weddings. Has anyone seen hairstyles with a flower and veil?

an update! I thought I wouldn't wear one but when I tried my dress one with the veil I totally changed my mind! I think they do look nice on pictures and in some cases it just completes the look :). Definitely try it with the veil and without and see which one you like better.

I tried it with a veil and a flower and it looked good. you probably have to find the right flower, or you can also use the veil under your hairdo if you have your hair up, then you can wear both with no problem. I think once the veil comes off for the reception it's nice to have the flower :)

I say of course do whatever you want to do cause its your day!! However I don 't think I'm wearing one....I'm getting married on the beach and I know its going to be windy. I don't want my veil blowing all over the place. One of my friends got married outside in April of this year and it was super windy. Her veil was everywhere and it was very distracting! My biggest issue is how I'm going to wear my hair! Its the same issue, I know it might be all over the place but Ive always seen my hair down for my wedding!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
