Outside Vendor Fee At Palace Resorts

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My fiance and I had originally planned to get married in Sun Palace, but now we are not so sure...

Sun Palace is going to charge us $800 to bring in outside photographers!! which is ridiculous for our budget.

It totally caught me off-guard, as it seemed that many couples were bringing in outside photographers with purchase of day passes.

Question:

Does anyone here have experience with resort photographers at Sun Palace? Are they alright?

It seems quite expensive considering small number of photos you receive. How is the quality of photography?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Tammy,

I think the thread that I read were quite old.

It looks like the days of inviting your photographers with day passes are over. :(

My fiance and I are going to stick to Sun Palace though. We talked about getting married there for a long time.

We now need to decide whether to use resort photographers or to stretch our budget and hire outside photographers.

If anyone who used resort photographers in Sun Palace (even non wedding photos) can share their photos and opinions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

I brought a photographer from the United States with me (ended up being cheaper than hiring a local one and paying the vendor fee) and I got my photographer for 3 days instead of a few hours!! May want to consider going that route..  Also I got married at Sun Palace 11/23/2012 so if you have any questions feel free to PM me! :)

im getting married at Azul beach and their outside vendor fee is also $800 and the approved vendors are awful.

Im flying in my photog from the states and its cheaper than a local plus the fee.  Definitely worth it...she was my "splurge" for the wedding

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
