Do You Believe In Some Wedding Superstitions?

Recommended Posts

Wedding carry itself some superstitions that are followed by some people. However, I personally don't believe in those superstitions. For me, they are waste of time and something that we should not think about. What's your opinion about wedding superstitions?

I'm not really a superstitious person either, although I didn't see my groom at all the day of the wedding, I wanted the traditional reveal as I walked down the aisle. I also had something old, new, borrowed, blue. But I guess those are also more traditions, than superstitions.

I actually 100% agree with Jackshayne0123!  My FI and I are going to spend the night before our wedding apart.  We're not doing a 1st look, and he'll see me for the first time as I walk down the aisle.  I think it's kind of romantic.

I'm also planning on the somthing old, something new, etc...  it's just fun.  Who wasn't thinking about that stuff as a little girl?  hehe.

I believe in zero superstitions, but it seems like I’m the only one!

My FI doesn’t want to know anything about my dress and I can’t even talk about it when he’s in the room. ;) I’m also having a Hindu ceremony so superstition is basically built right into it; no Tuesday wedding because it’s bad luck to undergo new beginnings on a Tuesday. I had to get my wedding date cleared with the priest before it was set, he consulted star charts and stuff to insure it was an astrologically sound date!

Im not superstitious but I like traditions. So i will do something old, new, borrowed and blue. I wanted him to see me before the ceremony (mostly so we have more time for pictures) but he really didn't like this idea at all.

We are still deciding on if we will stay in the same room the night before the wedding. I think it will depend if the hotel will give us an extra room for free or not. They said its based on availability so we will see. I could go either way on this.

Are you guy staying in the same room the night before?

We will also be legally married when we go to Mexico so i guess this is all really irrelevant for me anyways lol But what can I say I like traditions, just not the legal headaches that come with a mexico wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
