Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Wedding Info?!

Recommended Posts

@@SammyBranny21 - I'd be curious to know what she cleared up?  We love comparing notes to see if we missed anything!! (have you been on the Grand Sirenis brides thread?)...  I understand how to add my extras, and how upgrading works (you get noone free, pay for all, etc.) but.... paying for extra chairs over the 10, etc. blew my mind. Only realized this today lol!!!!

@@calgarybride2015 you'll have to keep me posted how things go closer to! I'm nervous to book the presidential because a lot of brides say it costs a fortune for extra hidden fees and they don't always get what's included. You booked free with palpa upgrade?

Yes I took the free wedding package but upgraded to the palalpa.  That was about $980, then about $1312 for food, $1354 for 4 extra hours of open bar, DJ for 6 hours, extra hour of cocktails while we take pics, the golf cart charge, blah blah blah!  Just didn't realize I had to pay for seats over / above 10 and more appis/toast drink over/above 10... sigh another $200!

Maria told me or whoever I'm speaking with said with an upgrade the chairs and tables are included. That's what I was crazy over! I think for the cocktail hour is what you pay for. I'm just prepared to pay. Lump sum when we get there and clear things out. I can't picture a nicer wedding anywhere else, that's why I'm sticking it out. It's more expensive and had less incentives. Some other places give you every 11th person free! This one is 21.

OHHHHH so I may get lucky on not paying extra chairs!   I agree, I can't imagine a more beautiful resort either and knowing people who have married there and vacationed there I am super happy with our choice. I also plan to just pay a lump sum too, but I am a planner and if I need more in the budget I want to know now hehe!

I know with the free wedding package you get it free with 10 double rooms, we have 15 so shouldn't have an issue. That saves us $1866 (and I confirmed this info, so it better not change on me!).  Also with Air Canada we get every 17th person free - so if all my numbers stand we get 2 packages free which frees up some money!

Sorry - does the presidential package give you every 21st person free? hadn't heard that before.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
