Help! Trouble Contacting Wc At Dreams Los Cabos

I have heard that getting blood drawn is a requirement, I don't believe I've read any reviews about it. we are having a church wedding here In ny prior to going to Mexico, so we're just having a symbolic ceremony in Mexico, which does not require blood work or anything really.

we thought about doing the legal ceremony in Mexico but there were too many rules about being there a few days before & having a witness there for a few days, etc. so that's why we decided just to do the symbolic ceremony.

For a legal ceremony it is a requirement to get your blood drawn.  If you have a symbolic ceremony, you can skip that step.

Long story but I started to work with Mariana than in November was told that Madga was my new WC.  Had a very difficult time getting any replies back.  Destination Weddings Coordinator really assisted with this issue.  Madga started replying and I have the majority of details planned and confirmed.  I just received an email today from Madga that she is no longer there as of this Saturday, Saturday February 22nd.  The email is the same but the new WC is now, Shantal Carrizales.  Here is to hoping that it is lucky number 3!

wow... I wonder what is going on over there with them changing wedding coordinators so frequently lately. hmmm... shantal carrizales, that name sounds familiar. I think she was the wedding coordinator at melia Cabo real when we did our site visit in Cabo. if it's any consolation to you, she was pretty quick In replying back to us and was very nice. she seemed really young though but seemed to have experience. good luck! I hope it turns out well for you. when's the wedding?

If you get legally married prior to going to Cabos, you don't need to get blood test!  I just did it last week!  I'm getting married in August 2014 and really haven't planned a thing yet, except the ceremony and reception location!

@jnellerose  Our wedding date is May 18th,2014.  Less than 3 months.... I feel pretty confident that things will work out, hopefully our new wedding coordinator will be there long enough.

Hi! I'm getting married at Dreams on My 31st, 2014. I had a similar situation with the change of WC. My FI and I flew down last May and met with Yesica Garcia and loved her. We booked our date immediately, and Yesica never failed to get back to us in less than a week, she gave me a list of vendors and a lot of them were already booked or never responded. I did do a lot research and booked my own vendors which were all vetted through Yesica.

 

In December 2013 I was emailing Yesica and didn't hear back for over a month. I figured it's the holidays and she was busy (as was I). We'll after almost 8 weeks, I emailed again and was told she was no longer with Dreams. I went into an immediate panic. I was assigned Marcela, but I felt like she was new and probably had a lot of catching up to do trying to pick up where Yesica left off. Dreams has weddings in a daily basis and I just didn't feel comfortable anymore.

 

We ended up hiring Gaby Cobian from Vivid Occasions as our "Day-of WC" and she has been great. I am so much more at ease. It definitely was not budgeted for but to have someone create a timeline, confirm all vendors and assures everything will be under control that day makes a world of a difference.

This is my first time posting on here, but I see I am in the same boat as others! My wedding is May 6, 2014 and my new WC is Shantal Carrizales! I still have some bigger details to plan, but communication hasn't been very successful. Is anyone else still in the same boat?

I met with the new GM of Dreams Los Cabos last night and expressed some concerns with the new wedding department.  I was told that they should not be responding much faster.

I would love to hear how your wedding turns out! We are getting married there in October & have recently had some serious reservations. Since all of the changes have occurred, the response time from our new WC (Marcella) have actually increased substantially & she has been a huge help; however, I can't say the same about the Dreams staff in general & particularly management & the reservation staff. I hope your big day goes perfectly!
