@@csho...I just ordered the dress today 3/12/2014. 

 

I'm usually a 10 in dress sizes thanks to my chest area...so for this dress I figured that was the most important area is the chest. If it fits there the rest should be fine.  It has a lace up back too so I can adjust as needed.

 

Are u planning a TTD?

@@talicea7812 unfortunately I am not. I really really wanted to do one. However, we are having a catholic ceremony once we return a week later and I need my dress to be in good shape for it. I know everyone said that it won't get ruined but my fiancé was pretty adamant that he wants it to look just as good here as it did there and so if I couldn't guarantee 100% that it won't get ruined then he didn't feel comfortable doing it. As he has had very little requests throughout the whole process I guess I should give him this one. I am toying with doing one here afterwards in the summer sometime. But since I am getting married in May, I also may try to sell my dress right away (while its still in style). So we'll see what happens!

THE GUYS & THERE TIES...

 

We are still doing the gray groomsmen look...however, the tie has been up in the air.  I wanted white. FI wanted gray (2much gray for me)  We compromised and decided to just put them in the wedding colors.  For the FI I wanted a white tie with either gray or I thought blue would be cute...he would then have something blue too.  He thought that was cute

FINAL SELECTIONS ARE DUE...

 

Big shock...Carol sent me my wedding worksheet and SURPRISE its all wrong.

 

1. Wedding location WRONG

2. Charged outside vendor fee when it is clearly marked that photo/video are staying at resort

3. Should be a $90 credit for the flowers in the package that I wont be using

4. Cake pic is not the one I submitted

 

Why is it so hard to get these thing right?  I don't really have any add ons...just 2 small hanging corsages & a sound system hook up.  Completing my sheet should be easy.  so the few things that she did have to fill in were wrong.  Oh...but make no mistake...she made it a point to note that I am bringing my own decorations and will be charged set up.  and I am bringing my own flowers, must pick them up and will be charged set up (amazing to get paid to place a centerpiece on the table.) 

 

I continue to read more and more into the various topics on the forums.  I've come across some more possible nickel and diming situations.  I am tired of fighting and email doesn't seem to do the trick.  I feel bad for the person I will deal with onsite.  I've had enough of all the problems...so if unforeseen costs pop up at the last minute...all the frustration with Azul that's been building up will be unleashed on the mexico coordinator.

FAVORS...

 

My brochures & luggage tags are in and ready to go out to the guests Originally I was going to print out inserts but I have computer issues that I don't want to get into.  Anyway, I just bought a peacock feather stamp and stamped the back.  I like how it shows through a little to the other side. I think they turned out really cute.  Most need to be mailed but some will just be handed out to the guests we work with.

MORE WORK ON FAVORS...

 

I worked hard yesterday... In addition to sending out the favors, I also finished my thank you notes from the shower. Instead of doing the plain old TY Cards, I had a picture taken with each guest, printed it out, and wrote my TY on the back.  I hate cards but love pictures...so this screams my style

 

Since it's going to cost a little extra to mail out the luggage tags, I stuck the thank you's in the envelope.  I also got a little stamp happy but I'm very happy with how everything turned out.

 

This is going to be the week of DIY.  I started working on my place card holders last night.  Once they are dry and put back together I will post pics.  As of now they look AWESOME

How are you doing your place cards? They need to somehow indicate the different menu choices, right? I can't think of a cute way to do it!

Everyone is going to have their own little frame.  I haven't decided if I'm going to print the names on color coded paper or just print their names in a specific color.  Probably today or tomorrow I will actually print them and see which way I prefer.
