Wow!! That's so upsetting but I'm glad you are taking it in stride and seeing the positive. I actually checked 3 times I had my location booked and I only booked 8 months in advance so I totally agree. That said, you booked first so IMO they should have bumped the other bride. Crazy they let you all walk. Good luck.

I think because I was so upset that they agreed to letting me go and giving a refund. They know they screwed up. I think I would be more upset if I wouldn't have been able to find another resort in such a short time. I was really upset on Friday because I had no idea what to do. All I could think about were the guests who had booked. It took my TA until today to get everyone moved to the new resort. My fiancé was very angry. It has taught me a lesson to double check. And double check again!!!!

Hi, I'm just wondering about your experience using Stacey Clarke. We used her for our Wedding in January 2015 and have not received our pictures yet. She also doesn't respond to my emails or messages. Paying $2500 USD and I have nothing to show for it... Pretty upset. Ok very upset!!!

Wow!  That is so disappointing to hear about your photos with Stacey Clarke.  I also used her for my wedding that was on April 20th.  I haven't received anything yet and she also hasn't responded to my e-mails but I wasn't freaking out since its only been a month.  Having read your experience I'm more nervous about the situation now for sure!

She was fantastic the day of the wedding as I'm sure you know. Super friendly and made everyone super comfortable. That's all I can think about is when I will get my pictures! Almost 5 months later seems so ridulous! And when she has responded to me she has given me every excuse about how her car has been it or how she has been so exhausted! I was super sympathetic, but now I am getting super angry!! To not answer emails is completely unprofessional! I've started emailing her daily. I figure maybe she will get tired of me and send me my pictures just to get me out of her hair!

I've heard this is a big problem with using Stave Clarke. She takes forever to get your photos to you. We were married in January at the Royalton and used Misha Earle. We received our pictures within 6 weeks. Not only did we receive our photos quickly she responded to emails within 24 hours and was amazing g on our wedding day. I highly recommend her.

Good luck I hope you receive your pictures soon!

It’s been about a week since my destination Indian wedding at Royalton and oh man it was amazing! All the staff at the resort knew we were “the bride and groom” and we got automatic Diamond Club upgrade upon arrival including two personal butlers (who assisted big time in lugging stuff and planning events pre-wedding ceremony). We had the ceremony itself at the gazebo which had some of us worried because an Indian wedding requires a lit fire, and it is SUPER windy out on the gazebo. The resort managed to wrap the gazebo up with fabric to stop the wind from getting in, which helped out big time.

The reception was poolside and perfect and magical, our DJ Barry was amazing (we just told him what genres we wanted and he surprised us with the perfect soundtrack for the night). We had the Mediterranean buffet (we had a quite a few vegetarians in our party of 25) and it was the best meal I had at the resort! After the reception we came back to our room to find complimentary champagne, chocolates, rose petals everywhere and a personal congratulations card from our butlers Eric and Omar. We even got breakfast in bed the next morning.

The wedding turned out so well and I’m glad we chose Royalton! If anyone has any questions about my experience, I’d be happy to answer :)

I just got back from our wedding and thought I would let you all know it was absolutely amazing!! We went with the photographer on site - true colours and could not have been happier they did an amazing job!!! We ended up doing the Jamaican experience on the beach and loved it!! If anyone is planning a beach reception - you don't need any extra lights (we got them and it wasn't worth it) also the wedding planners were absolutely amazing!!! The spa did an amazing job on everyone's hair and makeup!!!!

One more thing - make sure to tell your guests that check in is a joke!!!

They have one person at the front checking in the entire group as the rest stand around and chat!! And they screwed up everyone's room!! So be prepared

Other then the front desk staff - everyone else was amazing!!

What exactly was the food in the Jamaican package?

Hello everyone!!!!! I literally read all 34 pages and I'm going insane. I'm completely torn between Secrets, RWS and Iberostar Grand. Can anyone please send me the pricing they have for RWS as of 2015? I'm looking to book for Sept 2016.

Hi @@rdavid and @@bkelly8, congratulations on planning  your weddings!! I only have the package information from 2014 so I'm no help there, I'm so sorry!! We were married at the Royalton on April 25, 2015 and it was amazing so I can definitely try to answer any questions you might have about the resort. Not sure about the weather in July, I've only visited Jamaica in October, May and April. This site is extremely helpful, all of the girls (and some grooms!) are so nice and always willing to help each other out. Hope they can give you the info you need to get your planning started!

Best of luck and happy planning to both of you!!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
