Hey Polly!

You said you booked Rashel right? So are you paying a vendor fee to have her come in?

I assume I have to..I just reserved her first because I figured that part was important to me and I know she's pretty popular and I like what she does....I haven't talked or planned anything with Laura the coordinator here in Toronto yet...

But I have read the policy and procedure part and it does sound a little alarming...but I called Laura and she did tell me only decor vendors and florist are not allowed

So hope all turns out alright.....

Hey Polly,

I emailed her and asked if we would have to pay the vendor fee for make up and hair....let's see what she says - keep you posted!

Anyone know if the resort changes a set up fee to set up our own decorations?

Sorry charges not changes

Hey Bridetobe771!

I emailed Laura and asked her about this....I think we would all like to know!

Keep you posted!

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and assume there is a charge for both. I don't think there is anything they don't charge extra for :(

As far a photography goes I took your advice and emailed a few photographers that I like (checked out their websites before hand) They have all replied VERY quickly. Just a few options for those who are looking, I found all these photographers on FaceBook

Dean Clarke

Stacey Clarke

Merrick Cousley

Brian Nejedly

Jamaica Wedding Photos

Oh and you were right about the vendor fees. Most of them cover up to $350 of it!

Dean Clarke by far. His work is beautiful! I haven't seen one picture I didn't like... Oh I hope he is within budget... But if he doesn't cover the vendor fee that will be a tough one for me. He hasn't sent me his rates yet.

Who are you leaning towards?

I agree!!!!!

BUT I only heard about him a couple of days ago and when I emailed him he advised he's booked on my day! :(

Don't blame him! We are 6 months away! I really have to start locking down vendors!

This year alone, my Fi and I have purchased a home, I started a new and demanding job, I had to learn to cook LOL or my future hubby would starve! LOL Learn to clean, etc....LOL!!

FYI, I never lived on my own (came from my family home) AND I never lived with a boyfriend or anything LOL so it's a whole new experience!

They say don't have a baby the same year you're getting married BUT they should also tell you don't buy a house the same year you're getting married! There's just so much to do all the time!

I really like Merrick Cousley but I'm waiting to hear from him because of my date change - hope to hear back soon!

I'm also looking at Dwayne Watkins....waiting to hear from him too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
