Royalton White Sands

Recommended Posts

Hello RWS future brides!  My wedding date is RAPIDLY approaching.  April 20, 2015.  Anyone else have their wedding booked around that date?  So far I haven't been very organized with the planning process but now starting to get into gear.  I am still deciding on photography.  The resort photographers seem SOOO overpriced.  Did anyone else have any luck finding better prices with photographers off the resort?  If anyone has rates or experience to share photographers that would be amazing.  Cheers!

Hi @@NoRad!  Our wedding is April 25, 2015 at the Royalton so we're right by you! We decided to hire an outside photographer since we wanted someone who could be there for most of the day for a more reasonable rate. We hired Marcia Roberts - her website is www.jamaicanphotography.com if you want to take a look. She came very highly recommended and we're excited to work with her.

I'm also trying to get more organized now and figure out what still needs to get done, the big day is coming up sooo fast!  :)

Hey everyone!!

I'm also getting married at RWS (April 8) and am struggling to organize some of the stuff through the resort. I'm wondering what other people have decided to do around serving alcohol at their reception and it seems completely nonsensical to me that an all inclusive resort is charging for this. Several of my guests don't drink so can we pay only for guests that will drink? Does anyone know if guests can just go to the sport bar and get some drinks to bring back to the reception (we are having ours by the pool).

Also, what are people's ideas/suggestions for decorating and lighting for their meal and receptions?? Any and all comments/feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!!!

We only have a small party of 13 so are having our ceremony in the beach gazebo and a private reception on the beach! Does anyone know of any other options for the alcohol as it states just wines beer and sodas is included in the pick and choose dinner and is extra per person! Just wondered if anyone had done anything different for their drinks?

Also if anyone has any photos I would love to see them, getting very excited now! my email is paula-1984@live.co.uk.

Look forward to hearing from other Royalton brides!

Hi @@paulah1984, congrats on your upcoming wedding!!  My fiancé and I visited the Royalton last May before we booked it for our April 25th wedding and took a few pics, I will send them to you today.

Not sure about the alcohol options yet cause I haven't looked at the paperwork in awhile but if I hear anything I'll post here!  We're doing the private reception by the pool.

Happy Planning!  :)

Hi future brides!

Im a newbie here and have been reading your posts, was wondering if any of you can help me with some of my questions. Ive just booked 2 weeks in royalton white sands (not until next jan) but we have to book the wedding directly through the hotel as our travel agent doesnt do weddings with them, have any of you done this? Ive emailed the hotel and had all the infomation emailed to me but im confused as to how you pay for the packages and extras? Does it all have to be paid before you get there or can you add things on when you are there?

Also i cannot believe the prices of the extras!!! ???????? its really been a blow to be honest. We only have a small budget and only wanted a small simpelle weddings with 15 guests but even this seems so expensive for such simple little things! ????????

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
