Hello Everyone!

My fiance and I are planning a DW in Tulum for Spring/Summer 2015 (no date planned yet). We fell in love with the beach town while we were visiting in August 2013 and decided it was a perfect place to get married. I have been doing online research and not had any luck finding venues which can accommodate us. We plan to have 45 people or less including a few young children. I do not want to book an entire hotel for our wedding for two reasons, our budget and I want everyone to have the opportunity to stay where they wish. We have a very limited budget. I do not have  an exact amount but do not really want to go over about $7,000 USD total. My sister is a professional photographer but I would like to have a someone who can take pictures while she enjoys the ceremony and other activities.I plan to do as much DIY as I can. We want the venue to have great food with with good options, quaint and low key.

Suggestions on venues and wedding venders would be much appreciated! We will have to visit Tulum again before our wedding but I would like to have a few places narrowed down so we will know where to visit. I should also add we plan to do a symbolic or mayan ceremony as we will legally get married the the US.

We are having our wedding at The Beach Tulum/Cabanas Tulum in March 2014. We have 44 guests (including 3 children) and we are doing a mayan ceremony. The hotel did not require that we book the entire hotel -- we were able to reserve a block of rooms at both hotels. The hotels have air conditioning available at night and both have pools as well. The customer service and the quality of food at the hotel's restaurant, Ziggy's, are some of the best we experienced in Tulum. The hotel is very prompt to answer emails (as opposed to a lot of other places!), so just email them and they can give you all the info. Good luck! You won't regret the decision to have your wedding in Tulum :)

Congrats ladies on your wedding in Tulum,

Riviera maya sure does have beautiful locations with the right people you would find it all.

Hey Has31, also add to your lists.  Akiin its a beach club and the food is awesome, your guest can stay anywhere they wish.

Other options you may consider is to host your wedding at a private villa this always turns to be fun for everyone.

If you need more information please feel free ask and we will be happy to help.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will look into a private villa because that might be a good option for us. Are you a wedding planner for the area?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
