They both appear to be beautiful resorts, of course it's Riviera Maya! The Hard Rock is relatively new, right? So they probably don't have as much experience with Weddings, and I'm sure they're rather pricey compared to the Paradisus? I'm getting married at the Jade, we vacationed there last year, so planning is very easy because I already know so much about the place.. :)

@@A7Xtrish can you tell me what you loved about Now Jade? We are really at the beginning stages so we are still tryin to find the perfect resort.

The food, the service, and location. It's absolutely perfect there. Not to mention, CHEAP. Our guests are paying $800 a person, for 4 Nights/5 Days (All Inclusive, including round trip Airfare from JFK) We are getting married in the slowest month of the year, it's their rainy season, but we went the same time last year, and the rain is actually enjoyable, it lasts for about 15 mins and the storms at night are awesome.. The resort has a very relaxing vibe, it's not like "Cancun" is with the clubs and partying. I believe there are 7 restaurants on site, Asian/Hibachi, French Cuisine, Mexican, a Buffet, a modern restaurant, an Italian place, and there's an outdoor restaurant that usually only serves lunch from what I remember. There's a few different bars, but if you're on the beach, employees walk around and serve you. They have plenty of entertainment for guests, each morning you will receive an itinerary under your door with a list of things to do throughout the day, what restaurants are open and drinks of the day. HMM, now onto the wedding stuff.. EVERYTHING is pretty much included in the package we chose, it's $3,000 for the wedding package. (there's 3 options) We opted to get an outside photographer, because it's our wedding, our photos have to be absolutely amazing. We saw a few weddings during our stay, and it sounded like a great idea for us to do. We've been saying for over a year, we're getting married there, and when we got engaged in October, we knew what we already wanted, so we didn't bother to second guess the idea or look for another resort. Visit this thread, it has a lot of information from past brides and brides to be, and has pretty much everything that you need to know about planning your wedding at the Now Jade.

If you aren't completely sold on the Jade and still have trouble deciding, look into the Jade's sister resort, (it's like 5 mins from the Jade, little more pricey, but gorgeous) The Now Sapphire.

Hope that helps! (:

I was looking at Now Jade, a travel agent recommended it to me for my last RM trip, but we chose Riu. How is Nows pricing for ceremony and receptions? As well as group rates and incentives?

I believe the rates went up for 2015, the best wedding package is $3,500. It covers up to 25 people, for ceremony + reception, centerpieces, cocktail hour, guitar, sax or violinist, small photo and video package, bouquet & boutonniere etc.. Group rates really depend, we didn't do the group booking because it was an extra 120$ for each guest, it would've gotten us 6 free nights but I didn't think it was fair to or guests to spend that extra money.. so that's something you'd have to talk to your TA about, most resorts have the same deals. And another perk about the Jade tho, is if you book your wedding and stay for a minimum of 7 days, which most people do, you get a few free nights during your anniversary stay. It's eligible at any of the now resorts.. ♡

We're getting married at Now Sapphire and I found their rates very reasonable. We picked the highest package and it's $3,200 or so, though we'll be going over 25 guests so it's going to get pricier. We also went with an outside photographer and DJ.

I thought rates were reasonable for July. $479/per person for a 3 night stay including ground transfers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
