So, onto this little tidbit of information. We've been wanting to find out what the cost is for the people at the resort to set up certain aspects of the ceremony and reception, i.e. chair sashes, table runners, lights etc, etc. Our coordinator has told us the set up charge is $3.00-$5.00 per person. They have not clarified what that entails though. Is that for everything?

On another side note, we found a place that sells really inexpensive decorations. the website is www tableclothsfactory dot com. They sell chair sashes for .49ea. Karisma/Lomas wants to charge us $5.00 each!

Hey @@CDC-SRW

Yeah...I heard the max is $5 pp up to $250 total.  I'm still trying to sort that out with Fabio (wedding coordinator supervisor) I can't seem to get a definite answer. I've been trying to avoid the fee bc the items im bringing are the same things that are included in the wedding package-included items are white linens, napkins, etc.  I just wanna bring my own in color.  I don't know why cut and paste doesn't work on here but ive attached part of the email from him as a picture. Hopefully you can read it.  He doesn't say flat out...we will not charge for table cloths, sashes, etc.  I'm trying to get a definitive answer so I can print these emails and take them with me the day of the wedding.

Also, since I have 24 people...I would assume they can't charge me the full $250.  I'm trying to get that answer too. The max for my group would be $120.  I'm also trying to get this in writing. I can't believe that I have to stress out over these little things.  Its really annoying.

I will keep you posted and let you know how it goes. I post everything on my blog bc I want to help other brides with this stuff too.

@@ng2015, thank you :) I forgot also that the travel agency we're going through will have a website for us as well. I'm going to include a link for it on the wedding website we set up.

Is anyone else setting up a wedding website? I think I'm going to use weddingwire.com.

she is still terrible. I got a lot of my issues sorted out after waiting about 2 weeks to get a response from the WC superviser.  However, they are in total denial over the florida coordinators.  When I said im on my 3rd person and info wasn't transferred from one to the other he told me that was a special case.  I've been all over this forum and im not alone in being shifted from one coordinator to another.  He didn't even address my issues with Carol.

I write a blog on here...Tina's Peacock Wedding.  If you want to know how everything panned out with that situation, its all on there- from my complaints to how they were handled.

Anyway...even after all the fighting and talking about how bad planning has been going... we are right back to where we started. I've sent several questions to Carol and she picks and chooses what she wants to answer.  I don't think im asking anything too crazy?!?! Fox example: What size table cloths are used?  What size sheers are used on the gazebo? how many are recommended? I can't be the first person to bring this kind of stuff? or ask these questions?  It shouldn't take 2weeks & several emails to get back to me.

So at this point I think I've covered all my bases with planning.  As far as I can think of, I've booked or decided on all the major stuff. Now its just little things- vacation clothes, finding luggage, printing things for OOT bags.

Hi Ladies, unfortunately I booked a block of rooms with Liberty Travel because I was afraid that by the time I found a travel agent I liked, my date would be gone. So now the room block is with Liberty Travel and I'm doing the rest by myself but I hear of all these great perks with the preferred wedding vendors and I'm wondering if I could fight for those same things on my own. @@malika2014 do you think your guy would still work with me even though I blocked my rooms already?

Thanks!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
