October 2014 Brides!

I sent my invites out last October.  All my guest are booked.  We are booked for our stay at the resort and finally got the Mr. to say yes to a cruise!!  I finally got my dress a month or so ago.  I was waiting for my mom to be able to come visit to go with me.  We had a LONG day of looking but it was good because I found one I love.    Projects I have been working on are little things mostly for my guest LOL  I really need to stop doing things for them.   My MOH (only bridesmaid) and I are going dress shopping in a couple of weeks for her.   

 

I guess the one big thing I need to decide on is Table decor.  I know what I want it to look like in my head I just need to buckle down and get some mock ups going.  I actually have to come up with two decors.  One for my my Welcome Party Dinner and one for the Wedding Dinner.

 

Oh and also need to find our wedding bands.  This is proving to be a task.  Do you ladies have your yet?

We purchased our bands. I have a unique engagement ring (black diamonds) so I wanted something sort of simple that wouldn't distract from it but was still sparkly

No  - I am going to have to get them made.  I basically know what I want it to look like but haven't purchased anything yet.  I love black diamonds - is it all black or a combo?

 

My FI finally found one he really likes also - need to get him sized so I can order it.  Actually, I am going to have one similar made but make it unique for just him - Once I know his size the jewelry will start making it.  I am not telling him that I am doing this for him.  I want him to see it for the first time when I put it on him - he will get one before hand but I will just figure a way to make sure it is something inexpensive.

 

How is everything else going for you?

Ohh so exciting - --- I am still waiting for my dress to come in.  I think I will get it in July!

Finally ordered FI's ring! I actually found it on Etsy!

 

We had gone into a jewelry store and the rings ranged from $700 and up. He did not want anything from there! Lol as we left he said, why don't we just go to wal mart or something and I will just find a cheap ring for $20 (Classic phrase from him!), so I started searching and found a seller on Etsy, who makes each ring, and I am actually getting my fingerprint engraved on the inside of the it. I can't wait to see it! And the best part, it was $140! Perfect!!

I think everything is going well.... but I do feel like I haven't done much wedding related recently and I don't really know what I need to be working on.    I do need to come up with a solid plan for center. . .  I am actually in the middle of moving which came about quickly and unexpectedly .. my FI took a new job in a different state which is very excited - and has become my life right now lol

 

being gone in August isn't good timing - yuck----    do you feel like you are ahead of your planning ?

Congrats to your fiancé! Where are you moving to? I hate the packing part so good luck to you!

 

I feel like I'm in a good place with planning. I'm making ribbon chair covers and I only have a few left to make. Other than that I think I'm just down to finalizing the small details.

We need to decide if we are going to have a DJ or not.

 

Are you ladies using a DJ?
