Any Iberostar Bavaro Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies

I was previously booked at the Iberostar in Jamaica but the prices were too high and my guest were complaining so I am looking to switch to this resort in Punta Cana.

Has anyone been married here?

I have the wedding packages for  Iberostar but not sure about details for this resort.

I sent an email to haven't heard anything back hoping I have correct email. We are getting married July 27th 2014

I know they usually take a few days so hoping I hear something soon.

I was also wondering about wish lanterns does anyone know if there are allowed??

What about photographer any recommendations?

Sorry for so many questions hoping to hear from someone!

My wedding will be at the Jellyfish.  Initially I was planning everything at the Iberostar, but I wasn't getting great responses from them.  My guest and I are still staying there but I won't be having my wedding there.  I contacted them last year and it seemed like it took a month for a response.  And once they responded they never answered my questions.

I'm an iberostar bavaro bride!!! June 3rd 2014 :) can't help you with any real reviews yet, but the coordinators are really nice, and really organized from the emails we've exchanged. They're also patient with my tons and tons of questions!!

Hi Al! Hope your wedding planning is going well!  I was wondering how you guys chose which Iberostar Hotel to get married at? I have emailed asking specifics about each hotel, but they only seem to give me specifics about bavaro.  I am looking into Iberostar for May 2015, and would like to stay here as it seems like it will give my guest more options price wise.  However I am a little confused as I have not gotten any answers about reception options (I would like a private one).  What are your guest paying to stay/do they give group rates? Are your guests staying at different hotels? Thanks so much in advance- I am feeling a little overwhelmed with chosing a resort!

hey ladies, only 43 days till I tie the knot at the iberostar bavaro! They've been great so far, if you have any questions let me know!

The biggest complaint I have is the extra $$ charges - they charge if you want an open bar at your reception - which to me is silly since it's an all inclusive so if people walk around the corner to the regular bar it'd be free, but we thought it was important for our guests to have drinks with dinner so we will pay the fee (which isn't cheap - $15 per person USD for 3 hours for limited drinks - wine or beer - if you want more options its even more pricey).

I will post an extensive review when we get back, but for now let me know if you have any questions - I've probably asked them already ;)

Happy planning!

I was interested in the Iberostar Bavaro as well but they told me that we had to be legally married before we come down for a symbolic ceremony (which isn't in our plans, we will be doing it after when we go back to one off our home towns for a reception since both of us are from different countries and live in yet another) this is the first time I've heard this from any DR resort....my contact at the Iberostar Grand said the hotels are risking it by not having you be married before.....risking what? A symbolic ceremony has no legal significance? I'm confused.....

They did tell me no for wish lanterns as has every place I have looked into in DR

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
