Is anybody else looking at getting married at the Majestic Colonial or Majestic Elegance in 2015?

 

I am planning a wedding at one of these resorts (haven't decided what one yet) for May 2015. I am booking Michael Steingard Photography and he suggested asking if any other brides were going to be booking with him for the same month to avoid travel costs.

I'm planning mine for May 2015 at the Elegance as well.  Congrats on your engagement BTW.  I haven't gotten too far in the planning process yet.  But I've seen some of his work and he seems like a phenomenal photographer.  What kind of 'travel costs' do you mean?  Will he be traveling from the States?

 

I'm willing to help trim my budget any way I can!  Let me know what ya think...

Ktzaz000 - I visited this resort and Dreams last year while on a cruise with the fiancé.  He really loved the feel of this place.  There seemed to be a lot of indoor and outdoor activities to keep our guests entertained, the price was right, the resort allowed kids (some of my friends/relatives might be bringing their little ones) and the staff seemed very experienced in weddings.

 

Overall it just seemed like the best fit for us.  :)

We are undecided on photography but found Katyanova ( husband and wife) photography who live in DR.

I had a hard time picking too I eventually went for the elegance as I had family stay there and loved it! I am May 12. 2015 what day were you thinking!?

Im so sorry I just seen your post now! Have you settled on a photographer yet? If not, by travel costs it means that if Michael has more than one wedding booked to photograph in the same time frame he waves all travel fees as the money he makes off of us pays for all of his travel expenses if that makes sense. We are May 12 2015 at the elegance how about you?

Sorry it took me so long to reply - I've been traveling a lot for work lately.  My wedding will be 27 May 2015.  We already booked the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception.

 

Good luck with your planning!  Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
