Just Started Looking For A Wedding Venue- Am I Asking For Too Much?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I (erm... I mean, we...) are hoping to get married in this region of Mexico in December 2014. I've just started thinking about my destination 'wish-list' and I'm having trouble finding somewhere to match all of my criteria:

- All inclusive

- We will have a 1 year old guest, so not adult only

- On the beach

- Only one wedding a day

- We will have 8 - 10 guests

Can anyone suggest any resorts that might be suitable? Equally, if I am being unrealistic with my expectations also please let me know!

Thanks!

Not sure about being unrealistic but a lot of the all inclusive hotels have 3 / 4 weddings a day but I'd imagine in December it might not be as busy.

Like I say I having looked into a quiet wedding like you suggest but I'm sure there will be places that would suit.

You could even look into a villa type accommodation, I know it wouldn't be all inclusive but it would give you the private wedding that you are looking for and accommodate the children.

I hope you find what you are looking for!!

Good luck

Hello Gemma,

As wedding planner in the Riviera Maya , I know of 2 resorts that are family friendly and do only one wedding a day,  Playacar Palace resort and Hacienda Tres Rios may accommodate your vision.

Also other alternative is to have your wedding at a private villa, usually most villas can accommodate more group of 20 guests.  and you can have the option of having a chef cook all the meals or you can do your own shopping and meals.  something different and definitely fun.

Feel free to ask us for anything and we would be happy to help!

See 2 weddings we did at a villa.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
