Hello DJ Mania,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I have so many questions and its hard to relax since I have never been there before. The reviews help me relax some because so far they have been pretty good.  :)

Hey Ladies,

So my wedding is booked for March 12, 2016 and I'm super excited. We decided to have the wedding on the beach because it's still close to the garden area and nothing better than me being able to be barefoot on the sand. :) I was also thinking of having it at the seaside grill but I do like the garden idea better. Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to have a pre-wedding bonfire?

Looking at Dreams La Romana for my 2016 summer wedding. Can anyone give me some details about the location and how much different things cost for the wedding...

My travel agent is in the process of pinning down my date - hopefully 7/18/2016. Was hoping since your wedding is coming up in a couple months that you might have some advice/insight for us newbies

Hi, strwbsprkl

Congrats on getting married.  I am new to this site and am considering Dreams La Romana for my wedding in October or November of 2016.  Not sure if its just me but I was not able to see the pictures you uploaded.  Would you be able to send them directly if its not too much trouble.  I would love to know about your take on the resort now that you have gotten married.

Sorry I never saw this sooner, --I am rmfowler09, but for some reason awhile ago I couldn't log onto that account anymore?? So I do have a new one! ....but we did just have our wedding on October 23rd!! So I can give you some insight and if you have any other questions let me know !!

Yanna & Pirosca were wonderful to work with! We went with the garden gazebo for ceremony, pier for the cocktail hour and sea side grill deck for the reception. We booked when the deck was still $300 but Yanna did say it is now $1000. The beach reception site (free) is a very nice choice and not many people are down by the beach at night so still very private!

The two gazebos are both very private, however in regards to the pier, many people do swim and snorkel near it and that might be distracting during the ceremony. We didn't have this issue during the cocktail hour however I watched other weddings during our vacation that were on the pier and people were swimming around them/making noise etc..

We had chosen the Ultimate package. In the package it says your hair and make up are included, but what it doesn't say is that a trial of both are included as well...this was a nice suprise for me!! You also get two choices for dinner options for guests and they print out a nice menu for each guest. We had Adventure photography during the ceremony and hired HDC for 4 hours as well. Adventure photography did a great job however they are much more expensive! HDC was wonderful and so glad we chose them for our pictures! We loved how they turned out! The videographer included in the package was great too!! They actually had 2 videographers and one showed up to my room 30 minutes before the ceremony to film getting ready etc, the ceremony and after with pictures, cocktail hour etc. They did a wonderful job editing the video (35-40minutes) and is great to show family members that couldn't make it.

We had a group of 25 of us. We did choose to have a dj and so happy we did. We originally wanted the "extra" dj service with more lights, MC etc for $950. Yanna had us go with basic dj service with one speaker/no mc etc and said she would mc. well we saved a lot of money and they had all the lights, extra speakers MC and all! The whole group danced all night and it was a blast!

The food at dinner was great! We chose for the entrees the beef tenderloin with shrimp or the salmon. Everyone said they really liked the food. In addition the food at all of the restaurants was wonderful as well. Good drinks too!

If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask! This website helped me so much when planning our wedding :) I am so glad we chose to have a destination wedding and Dreams La Romana was amazing!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
