Good idea! I am sending save the dates. I wanted to do them one year ahead but I got a little delayed. I'll probably have them out before the end of April!

Hi! I am new to this message board and very excited to see all of this info! I am getting married at Dreams La Romana in 2 months (Oct 3 2014)!! I am going to the resort next week to meet with Yanna and plan everything. I will keep you guys posted!

 

What are you all doing for a welcome party and/or reception dinner? My wedding is on a Friday and I have half the guests arriving Weds and the other half Thurs. I am thinking of just doing one event on that Thurs. Any ideas? Has anyone done the cocktail party and then bonfire on the beach? If so, what was the cost of the bonfire?

I originally wanted to get married on the beach but that gazebo doesn't seem to really be facing out towards the ocean...so we booked the garden gazebo which is gorgeous. I told them I wanted the sea side deck for reception but just found out from travel agent it's at a cost. So now I'm thinking the beach. Where is everyone else having their ceremony and reception ? Why did you choose those sites?

Hello, ladies. I'm new to this forum as well. Congratulations everyone on the upcoming events!

We are considering Dreams La Romana for our wedding in April 2015 as well. Does anyone happen to have the info which reception areas are at additional cost and which aren't? I don't want to do the beach, so I'm a little hesitant. It's too bad they only send you a couple of pictures from every hotel, so hard to choose!

Hello Ladies,

 

I am new to the forum and will be having my wedding at Dreams La Romana on 8/15/15. My wedding will take place on the beach and the reception will be at the sea-side grille deck.

 

I have never been to the DR so pictures and reviews are definitely appreciated.   I bought the ultimate dreams package and while we get a lot of things through the package, I think we are going to have to pay quite a bit extra to make it unique and special. Does anyone know if colors come free with the package? Or if the wedding comes all white and for any color or flowers if you have to pay extra? (I think I want an coral/red mixture at the wedding)

 

Also, if it rains, do you know if they accommodate the wedding and or reception in an indoor venue. I hope it doesn't rain but figured I should be prepared. 

 

Lastly, are any of you ladies bringing personal decorations to detail your wedding, or using an outside vendor. I am trying to keep cost down yet want everything to be nice. P.S I will have about 40-50 guests attending.

When is a rainy or cloudy day ,usually the resort suggest and indoor back up area for the reception and ceremony , you need to decide by noon the day of
