I PROMISE to write a review... I've just been swamped with work since getting back... But I need a future bride who is heading down to the BDR to take a tape measure and get the dimensions of the sky deck gazebo at Sensatori!!! I thought it was on the official thread, but since changing to the new white one, we don't have the dimensions!

Can someone measure the height, width and depth?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

There are sand fleas pretty much on every beach there- but I was out on the beach a bunch of times and didn't get bitten even though I've heard there were some. (Sensatori)

I didn't...: but if I was having a night event on the beach I think I would have some out for guests... Since Mosquitos could also be an issue

@@lizandkeevin @@rebepax hI Girls so sorry to respond this late!!! :( I have been away for a while (traveling all over) now back to planning and rolling so excited!!!

Yes, my wedding will be at Azul Sensatori on April 2015. we visited 12 resorts lol what  day and the BDR was excellent!!!

We visited Dreams Tulul, Azul Beach, aZUL Sensatori, stayed at Generations Riviera and visited El Dorado Royale, also visited Moon Palace, Playa Car in Playa del Carmen, Porto Real and Grand Porto (I think that is the name), visited Dreams Puerto Aventuras and Now Shaphire. So many ..I know

My two picks were Azul Sensatori and Dreams Tulum with gorgeous beach and resort but the food kind of worried me.

How are your girls doing??? sorry I did not get back to you on time BUT I will check more often now that I am back!!!

awesome! You will love it! Not sure where you are staying but this is based on if you are staying at Sensatori

Only words of advice are:

1) GO TO YOUR SITE TOUR. A few couples we talked to "skipped" their site tour at sensatori because they figured they could walk around during their stay and see it all- and they were frustrated with the weekend. Well duh!! The site tour is when you get time with the onsite WC and get to ask a ton of questions and get real answers...so don't miss it!

2) if you have your heart set on going to Le Chique as the WC to help you get a reservation.

I do have a couple favors to ask for when you are on your visit.... Thanks in advance!

1) can you take a tape measure with you and measure the height, width, length of the sky deck gazebo at sensatori? No one has accurate measurements since it changed to white and numerous brides haven't had enough fabric with them to do the job.

2) can you ask the onsite WC during your tour, how the buffet option works with kids. I know it's 50% of the price for kids. But. Does the rule apply where kids are free in totality if they order off the standard kids menu rather than eat off the buffet? (This is for private events btw)

3) can the free signature drink used at the ceremony for the toast (or as included in the free cocktail reception) by one of their speciality mojitos? Or does it have to be basic like highball wine or beer?

4) what do the fans look like that are included in the sky deck wedding package?

Thanks!!!! Have soooo much fun! I can't believe I have all these questions after only just being at the BDR in June.... But somehow I didn't answer these in my visit!

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice.  We will being staying at Sensatori and will definitely be taking the site tour as well as Generations Riviera and Azul Beach.  Is Le Chic the restaurant that isn't included in the "all inclusive" package for food?

I wrote down your questions and will try to make sure I get answers for you!  I didn't realize we get a free signature drink with the ceremony?!  When you say fans….are you talking about hand held fans?

I have just a couple questions for you….What kind of currency do they accept down there?  I haven't received my itinerary for the BDR how many days before you left did you receive it?

Is there a dress code for the BDR?  What about the restaurants on the resorts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
