for those that made Boarding Pass invitations.   how many invites did you make? and how much did it cost you to make them?

We will need about 25-35 invitations..

I'm trying to see if its worth making them ourselves or if I can find someone on etsy or other to make them.

If its only going to cost a little more money on etsy then I might have them do it since I don't have much down time.

also those who have made them, where did you get your background pictures used for them?

Thanks..

Hi Mibosox, we had the same questions when we wanted to work on our boarding pass invites. We found out fast that we are not that creative and didn't have the time to design and print.

We found a company on Etsy called AprilTwentyFive. Amir and Katrina are fabulous to work with and their quality is incredible. Their prices are reasonable too!

I found out that once I was able to see the templates it wasn't that hard to put them together they print 3 per page and from there it was just picking the paper that you want which I got mine on sale at Michaels for 50% off so it was like $7 for a pack of 100 sheets and I printed them at home I also bought a paper cutter and corner punch both were also on sale so they didn't cost that much either. Good Luck!

I'm not creative at all so we ended up ordering online. I think the price was worth it because if we would have made them we would have had to buy all that equipment and I personally felt I would have ended up spending almost as much anyway. We didn't do boarding passes we did luggage tags and passports. I can email you pics if you PM me.

@@misbosox it all depends on the design and detail you put into your invites. You can find temples on here so it would just be the cost of paper and envelopes. I looked into making them and then changed my mind before we bought anything but the cost for me to make between 30-35 was close to $250  that includes paper, envelopes, ribbon, stickers/seals plus your time

I ended up paying closer to $300 when it was all said and one making them on my own, but we also sent out 67 invitations and we don't have a printer so we had them printed at Staples and we ended up changing one of the boarding passes as we're also having a wedding ceremony here in the church so we had to re-print another 20 pages that we shouldn't have had to. I am probably one of the least creative people, but really had fun making these, however, it did take a lot of time and effort, but they were so worth it! With that said, I could not have done it without the basic template, and it does take some time to figure out what you're doing.

Also I wouldn't waste money on the corner puncher... we just cut out ourselves... it took a long time (I think in the end my fiancé cut them all out and it did take about 8 hours total) so if time is a concern you may want to just purchase them.

Thanks everyone for the responses...   so I've been playing with a template I found on here thanks to all you great ladies!

For somereason my Word/Paint won't let me put a picture in the background of wording so I'm figuring I'm gonna have to print the passes out with some of the design I want first... then reprint on the same paper with the wording layout .  Or use a stamp of starfish instead......  Gonna just play with it and see if it works....

Hi! I thought I'd add mine, as I was very happy with my invites. I ordered mine from Kalidad Prints. They are based in the Philippines. They speak perfect english, we did all of our communicationover email. For 50 invites, I paid P5, 000 which is about $120 CAD. Shipping was another $100, but it was through FedEx and took about 3 working days. The paper quality is exceptional and I got to customize it so many ways. I even got our text embossed on the boarding pass cover. Btw the amount I paid included boading pass cover, rsvp card, another 2 cards to put info on, monogram sticker( to seal envelops with), envelopes, ribbons and all the customizations you might want to do.

I paid through paypal, so it was easy.

Hope your invites turn out great! :)

@@misbosox there is a way to do it... I thought that I wasn't going to be able to either but I did put in pictures. I can't remember exactly how I did it. I think thought you have to kind of click on the side of it and insert the photo and then click bring forward and then you can move the phots/clip art around. It can be a little annoying but it can be done!

There are options as to bring the photo forward or send it back under format picture. I found it was easier at least for me to work in powerpoint so I'm not sure you have the ability to do that but I made my first draft and word and then saw other people on here talking about powerpoint so I tried that and it saved me hours of frustration.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
