@GingerJ228- We arrive WEd AM around 11am to the resort staying until Sunday afternoon. I can't believe you wil be there almost  a week before your wedding! What are you doing about making sure you don't get any tan lines??? I think I have to buy 70SPF sun tan lotion and I got a cute hate to wear also!

I know!!  I really need to unwind before the wedding and spending a little alone  time with my fiancée.  We NEVER see each other.  I work crazy long hours at an Asset Mgmt. firm and he’s a fire fighter and works all of the time.  Trust me when I tell you I won’t get tan lines – more like sunburn lines!!   I am super fair skinned with red hair and the funny thing is that I am always at the beach and have chronic sunburn  all summer long.  HAHA!  I take a lot more precautions in the past 6-7 years with the sun but it’s an ongoing joke with my friends and family.

Strapless swimsuits!

with a big floppy hat and sunglasses!!!!!

I have officially completed my wedding planning. Or rather, that's the email I got from the Karisma wedding planner. We leave for Cancun in about 3 weeks and I have all of the decorations, OOT bags and wedding favors packed. Now, I'm going through my resort clothes to figure out what to take. I'll probably end up packing for my FI also.

We started this journey over a year ago and it's hard to believe it's almost over!

Woohoo!!  Me too! :)

I've got my OOT bags all ready and packed, all my wedding decorations are packed!

BTW - here's what I've chosen for my OOT bags:

- Welcome book (includes a thank you letter, info about the resort, some spanish phrases, and information regarding the wedding day like where to go for the ceremony etc)

- Mini Purell from the dollar store

- Chapstick from the dollar store

- Custom souvenir magnet from Vista Print

- Custom made mix CD with all our wedding songs

All I have to do now is sync my ipods with our wedding music, and pack my clothes and I am ready to go!!  Actually I still need to shop for my wedding night lingerie but that's easy :)

What songs do you have for your ceremony? I'm walking in on 'Tonight I Celebrate Our Love'. How about you?

I'm walking out to somewhere over the rainbow. We are walking out after the kiss to Bruno mars - Marry You and we are walking into the reception after we get announced to "best day of my life" from American authors

Our first dance is Stand By Me and the dance with my dad is a surprise he is keeping the song from me! HA HA He's too cute :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
