June 2014 Riviera Maya Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hello June Brides!

Our wedding is on June 14, we have ~40 guest already booked and are super excited as time goes by and the BIG day gets closer. I saw the OOT comments, I ordered mine from vista print, they always have offers and coupons so I recommend waiting for a free shipping offer ;) the size and material are awesome!

Im also doing the little pills/bandaids and bought hand sanitizer wipes instead of bottles for more practical packing ;) I love the idea of "surviving a Mexican wedding'!! I might get a bunch of brochures from the airport in Cancun for information about what to do in the area ;)

I'm not sure about the excursions yet, we wanted to go out on Thursday night maybe to Coco Bongo or Mandala with some friends? Any suggestions?

Happy planning and congratulations to you all!!

Hi everyone! I was just reading through the comments on here and someone was looking for hair and makeup outside Azul sensatori? im getting married at Azul beach and I am bring in hair and makeup :)

Here's how to do it...the resort doesn't offer airbrush makeup.  Insist that airbrush is what you want and they will allow it. Im supposed to have to pay a day pass fee but I am also fighting that.  I've read the day pass descriptions on Lomas and they are for guests who will be staying to eat and drink.  The makeup team will only be there a limited time and not taking advantage of the resort offerings.  I've read on here that if you are persistent they will make accomodations.

@@lolita2014 those are adorable! They came out so nice. Great job. I got the badge holder and coil for the wrist but didn't create the insert yet. It's on my list of things to do! I ordered the vertical badge holders so I need to create the template so that it fits vertically which believe it or not is hard to do to make everything fit!

@@GingerJ228 let me know where you find the undergarments. My  mom ordered me some from online and it fit horribly so I"m going to have to go and look. I saw a few lingerie shops in NYC so I'll probably check one of those out so they can fit me. Let me know if you have any reccos. I got my shoes at nordstrom ( wedges) and then order flat sandals for afterwards bc I literally hate wearing high shoes but my FI is 6'1 and I"m 4'11 so I figure for pics and then first dance I'll wear the wedges then change so I can dance :) We are getting our wedding bands at  a place in hoboken I think but if you have any reccos in NYC I'll take them :)

Have you found undergarments yet?  I haven't even looked yet.  I am going to wear  bare foot sandals when I walk down the aisle and wedges or flat sandels for the reception.  I am in the process of having my wedding band made now.  The jeweler has had by engagement rig for about 2 weeks now /bc I need to have it molded so they can get an exact fit for my rings to interlock.

@@GingerJ228 I haven't found undergarments yet. I was going to look but then my friend said to wait until after my first fittin g( which should be early april) because depending on what the seamstress says I might not need to get a bra if they build cups into the dress, etc. I bought flat sandals and a pair of wedges and figure i"ll figure out which I'll wear for ceremony, etc. I really wanted to wear the sandals for ceremony but my mom is literally pitching a fit about it and I don't know how much energy I have to argue with her about it HA! So again I'll figure it out once I get dress fitted. My Fiance and I are going to look at wedding bands next weekend ( it's on the calendar ) so hopefully we will both find something.

@GingerJ228- mine is on the beach as well. cocktail hour is at preffered pool then reception at beach terrace.

I don't even wear heels on a normal day ( although I'm 4'11 so I should) My fiance is 6'1 so I think my mom just wants me to get some height for the photos :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
