2014 Brides- What Decorations Are You Bringing

Recommended Posts

I'm bringing little picture frames that I've embellished with butterflies for the tables, a ring cushion, the guest book, sparklers, bubbles, purple ribbon to tie around flower girls dress, silk flower petals, the cake topper, a Mr and Mrs sign, the flower girl basket... think that's it... we're getting a local vendor to supply the linens, and centre pieces.

Just a reminder that it is VERY dangerous and ILLEGAL to travel by air with sparklers. I would advise NOT to do so, and buy them locally.

Were trying to get away with not packing a lot- So I made our place seating cards, menus, itineraries etc and the coordinator said that she wouldn’t charge us to bring and use them. However, if we were to bring flowers- etc we would be charged, so we are trying to avoid it.

Paper lanterns, cocktail napkins, straws, votives, disposable cameras, linens. And this is half the list, so much left to do ahhhhhh

My resort offers centerpieces for like $40 per table - I will have 2-3 tables, so I may just pay it so I don't have the hassle of dragging things down there!  I've already got the welcome bag stuff that will need to be taken down.  I'm going to check with the coordinator to see what the centerpieces come with, and if it's worth it to do more.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
